Where is the strangest place you've ever taken your beardie?

It has been years since Vegas has had a reptile show. I hope it goes well so that they will come back again!

Vinny goes everywhere with me, she goes on almost all of our weekend trips. Most recently she came with us to Red Deer for Euroquake (it's a car show). Here are a few of her on the drive there.

She's great in vehicles, here she is stretching out in the sun.

Sometimes she get's restless and wants to explore...

But her favorite spot is on the dash so she watch the cars go by.

Lol... Olive moves around WAYYYY to much to let her loose in a car. She'd be under my feet on the gas pedal and who knows what! So unless there's someone else there to keep her in hand on a leash - it's in the cat crate she goes! I know, such a horrable beardie mom... lol. But until they make beardie seatbelts - Lil Ms. Curious George get a crate!

haha, if Vinny wants to cruise around too much then she gets put back in her travel tank but she's usually pretty good.

Wow..! I would be kind of nervous about them suddenly getting loose and running off somewhere. Will most beardies actually sit still on your shoulder for a long time? (I'm a newb with beardies.. In fact, I haven't even gotten mine yet, but I will soon!)

Hii am a new beardie owner x

i don't think i'll be able to take my lil girl anywhere out the house :O (Except the garden in the summer)
Beacause i live in the UK and asumen it will be way to cold for her :O

I was wonder if there's any travel tanks i can take her places in and that still provide heat??

She'd go nuts staying the house all day >> Lol i know i would :O Thanks.

To the people who do take their beardies with them almost everywhere: Is it really warm where you live or do you have some way of providing heat or something?
It would only really get hot enough here in the summer. ;(

all the animals that i have gotten from reptile shows have gone into resturants(after the show we always go out to eat) and they get snuck in lol

my beardies have been to the petstore
and to the bank
funny story about the bank though lol, i was in there waiting in line and these 2 little girls noticed my beardie and got kind of scarred. well there mom just got finished and they went "mom what is that?" and she looked over and they said "it looks like a lizard, is it real?" (all scarred and everything) and the mom quickly rushed them out while saying "no dear it is fake" lol the tellers didnt say anything though

i have also taken them to walmart hidden though

but if anyone EVER says anything to you just ask them

why is isnt ok for you to take your reptile in, that is staying on your sholder. when they have wild birds in there picking at the veggies and pooing on the food?

there are always wild birds in our walmarts eating the produce lol i dont mind but they shouldnt say you cant bring your stuff in when they have wild animals flying all over the place lol

i have also taken them to my brothers 5th grade class(alot of my reptiles not just beardies)
and my brothers soccer games, everyone loved them, even the parents
i am going to start taking them more places now

but it will probably have to wait till next year b/c it is getting cold out

I FINALLY DID IT! I took Ruki to the bank! No one was there, and the teller just gave me a look like :shock: "You crazy or something?" But she just gave me my money and I left. :mrgreen: It was a little nervewracking, but hey, if people can tote around little designer doggies in purses, I can carry my beardie on my shoulder! (Plus, beardies don't yap or drool )

Oh how fun!!! I've only taken Mango to school with me but I think I'll start taking him out other places too. It's a little cold here right now but come summer he'll have a blast.

I only run my beardies around a lot when it's summer, due to the obvious temperature problems Kansas provides. If I do take them out I use a heat pack, I have a fabric sleve filled with dry corn, pop it in the microwave and it'll keep your beardie warm for several hours

When my hubby was in the hospital 4 years ago, when he finally started getting better he told me he missed DIgger...well at the time we lived next door to the hospital, so I had a sweat jacket, I took Digger in the van, then wrapped him up in my jacket and carried it on my arm like it was natural. Got to his room and took him out and Digger ran all over the hospital bed :lol: The nurse came in, saw him, went back out, came back in, closed the door and took pics, lolol!

I really think it helped with the hubby's recovery!

Seems like I have taken Dragon everywhere! He has gone with me to the flea market, walmart, convenience stores, banks, drive-thru restaurants (I won't take him inside because of health codes), and schools. He is always a hit We have been asked to leave a few places- but they are always pretty nice about it (um.. you really shouldn't have it in here....). I take him back out to the car and we just don't go back. It's fun

One woman at walmart had the best reaction-- she didn't notice he was on my shoulder (how do you *not* notice!?!?!) and then just screamed! She jumped back about 5 feet *then* asked if he was real. I said no, and she calmed down, then Dragon turned and glared at her. She screamed again! It was too funny! (I am sooooo mean... ugh).
