Hello. He has only had 2 stools in the last 4 days, or so. In fact, when I read the question about his stools it scared me because I hadn't seen any, I think we spoke Thursday, Tracie? The day before that was when he had that grayish loose stool. Thank goodness I did find another. It blended right in with his basking log. It must of been yesterday because the white seemed hard and the green was as though it had been there a day or so! I know I need to get glasses now! I was so relived to see it finally!! If he's on the "every other day cycle' then hopefully I'll get to report good things today!
This coming Wed. it will be three weeks since we brought them home.
I'm posting some pics. Some of them are wonderful but some smack me in the face with reality
. He acts GREAT and has so much spunk and energy but his face still looks sick and sad sometimes. I tried to get some good shots of how he looks all over (including a tongue shot when he was eating his HUGE lunch
) In fact, it was about 2:00 or so and since it was soooo hug, I decided to give his little body a break and wait till the morning to feed him. I still gave him a
bath though. He REALLY pigged out!! He must of eaten about 25-30 PW. ALso, before I offered the worms, he also pigged out on his green slurry
. I didn't grind it up so fine that it could go in they syringe. Instead, I would get a "clump: on the soft, black rubber part and he went to town grabbing it RIGHT OFF!! I got pictures of that too He won't eat the greens on his own yet but I know he's getting close. I put what was left of the slurry in his tank with him after the feeding today and yesterday. Yesterday I actually caught him taking a tiny bit out.
OK, now for the "OMG, I'm worried about my child.... First, he has stress marks all over his stomach. I've never notice them there till tonight. I took pictures of that. Also, his body looks beautiful to me (except I know he still has extra skin to fill in
) But his face, I just don't know. I'm going to post some of his head too. I really son't know if the lighter color on his head is a shedding thing. I hope so though!!!! The fat pockets on their head, when they are malnurished...well, I don't think it looks like his head is filling up with fat. I'm scared and I hope it usually is THIS slow.
On the brighter side though...I love him soooo much!! He had his first adventure on the couch. He was so excited I let him crawl onto the couch, off of me, he didn't know what to do with himself. It was so precious! I got pictures of that too & I hope they come out ok so I can post them.
One more thing I forgot...the tips of his "spikes" are all white sometimes. Is this a sign of stress or something else?
Thanks!!!
