Mine are 7am-9pm. this way they're on before i leave and can feed him after he's woken up a bit, and on when i come home, feed, and hang out a bit before bedtime.

6a to 6p. My husband is retired, so he's home all day and up early in the morning. I work but leave at 11a, so have see them in the morning (I'm the bath person) and on the weekends.

ok, so it really doesn't matter what time it is, just as long as it is a 12-14 hour cycle...

I think most set timers to work with their individual schedules. :)

We don't use a timer (yet), but for us the best time to wake up beardie is when the first person wakes in the am, which is usually my DH, at 7:30 am. We use a 12 hour day/night schedule so that means lights out at 7:30 pm, however, beardie is usually out with us by 6:30pm, for fun and cuddles, and bedtime routine.

Many opt for a 14 hour day/10 hour night which I'm seeing might work for us now that beardie is older and doesn't seem to need as much sleep.

The best,
Em

I use a 14 hour day, with timers set for 6am. When i come down at 7am, Gizmo is already warmed up and ready for breakfast! And since she is opposite a window, she generally wakes up at this ime when the sun comes through!

At night she gts fed feeders at 5pm when i get home, after 2ish hours for digestion she can come out for a run around/snuggle!

We don't have timers, but since I'm home all day it works out. Lights on is about 7:30- 8:00am depending on the kids. And lights out is around the same, but no later than 9. It normally depends on your schedule when it's lights in or off. Sometimes, the beardie will say it's bedtime and the lights don't go out for another hour!!! Just dobehat works for you.

Since we leave for work at 5:30 every morning, we have ours on a timer set to come on at 7 and off at 7. Now that the sun stays up a bit longer, I think the hubby is going to reset the timer to go off at 8:00. I am going to need the extra hour to make sure that all feeding and baths are done with an hour to spare once our new ones get here.

my timers are set for 8 am - 10 pm , i leave for work at 830, i put greens and veggies in thier enclosure. then they get crickets at about 2 pm, then again at 6 pm, lights out at 10 pm. this gives us time to enjoy them because we work and then after dinner time we can enjoy them on our down time between 8 and 10. by putting thier greens down at 830 am all the while until feeding crickets at 2 pm , they eat them because thier hungry, and that's how i get them to eat thier greens. and they do devour them

Timers change with the season. Right now they come on around 7am, and go off at 7:30pm. I am going to bump them up to 8pm sometime this week now that summer is here. Even still, my beardies are usually tucked into bed by about 5:45pm, so they never really bask after that.

Mega Ray producers recommend a staging light activation for a more natural environment. As soon as I add a second non UVB basking spot to my male's cage, I am going to start doing that.

Mine come on at 10:30am and go off at 11 pm . Gives me lots of time with her since I dont work right now.

Set it for what works for your schedule. She/he will adjust to your schedule.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
