What is your personal favorite feeder worm :?:

I have 3 personal favorites, horn worms, silk worms, and repti's. They are great feeders and they offer so much as top feeders.(I experiment with all the feeders I sell to see just how long they will last and just how much they can take).then there's the longest lasting feeder.... I like The horns, repti's, meals, and super's, they will last the longest if taken care of properly.)

Probably hornworms since they get so big and my beardie goes nuts for them! They do smell horrible though.
I also like silkworms, they're really cute and I don't mind handling them. Third to that I love butterworms. My beardie goes nuts for them and they're really easy to keep in the fridge.

Actually, personally I do not care for worms. :mrgreen: Oh, I see you said *feeder worms*.

LOL, but Razz loves hornworms...after having them he would not eat anything else for a while :roll:

Silkworms are SO good for them I wish he liked them so I could feed a few everyday...they are considered expensive but I would still like to feed them as often as I could.

i've only used reptiworms, so i guess they win by default.

Yoshi LOVES waxworms, but you have to be careful with them cuz they will make your beardie fat. LOL Yoshi has a bit of a tummy on him now.

I give them to Bowser too, since he's a rescue that was neglected and very thin. I think he's getting a belly now. That is, when he'll eat for me.

Honestly I had some mealworms (stupid pet shop) and ditched them when I found out they are bad for beardies. Now I have some reptiworms and phoenix worms (which I found out are the same thing ug!). Mojo likes the worms but she LUVS Dubias! Yea no more crickets lol.

I wish I could feed silkworms to Franklin every day, but they're so expensive and I found them much harder to keep alive when I ordered a bunch last month. He doesn't seem to care for Reptiworms one bit. Butterworms were a hit but I've only ordered them once. I haven't tried waxworms yet. I'll never resort to mealworms unless my entire dubia colony gets wiped out instantly and the pet store doesn't have any other feeders on hand.

Hornworms are great. It would be nice if they grew a little slower, but when they grow to full size I actually find them kind of fascinating to handle before I feed them off. I also like how much of their body is composed of water, it's reassuring knowing that they help to keep him hydrated.

Franklin never seems to turn down a superworm. I often fill his feeding dish with dubia, reptiworms, and a couple supers; after racing down off of his basking spot he always snags the superworms up first, even if they're buried under a mound of roaches.

Loooooooooooooooove the reptiworms. So easy, and, Wave tells me, quite tasty. :wink: She likes the superworms more, but dutifully eats her reptiworms like a good girl in the mornings.

I tried silkworms, but she refused to eat them after the first day. Going to try out butterworms (treat only, I know, I know) and hornworms as soon as it's cool enough for them to be safely shipped to me. Waxworms for a treat are also high on the "try it soon" list, particularly since I can get them here. Just... haven't yet.
