What do Hornworms eat!!

What can you feed hornworms besides chow? I read somewhere that they fed their worms dandelion greens. Is this true? Thanks!

I believe the hornworms sold commercially in the USA are tobacco hawk moth catepillars and the chow is a special blend.

There a lots of other hornworms.

Another kind of hornworm are silkworms (mulberry leaves are their natural diet).

It's possible they will eat them of nothing else is available but chow is probably best for keeping them healthy and growing.

Ok I have around 1k hornworms and they are all living off potatoes/lettuce/dandelion greens and almost no dieouts

I was in a rush so it isnt the cleanest but im still to test to see if they will eat boiled potatoes because then i can mash it. Ill tell you my results when i test it.

Oh yea ive also noticed the ones eating the lettuce are the largest ones eating dandelions are second largest and potato ones are smallest
