Thanks, I'll look in the aquarium section of my local pet shops. I don't want to be a total copy cat, but I am also building a condo/duplex (it's the very plain looking one above on this page) and yours is waaaay more lovely and sophisticated!!

I am currently working on a viv for my son for Christmas for his first beardie. :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: I picked up a 55 gallon aquarium with stand off of Craigs list and thought I would share some pice of what I am doing. If any of you have any suggestions as I complete this project let me know. :)

The stand was made out of angle iron with leg braces. I have made an oak shelf to rest on the braces to hold a dubia breeder and other supplies.

I will also make a platform for the aquarium to sit on with an oak lip to prevent it from sliding off. I am using slate tile for the floor of the viv and have added a small cave/rock for the bd and a few landscape blocks for it to crawl on/around.

I still need to work on something for the left side for it to bask on... I was actually thinking about building something out of Loncoln Logs that my kids are wanting to get rid of now... I would glue the logs together so that it wouldn't fall down and clean them before and after assembly. Does anyone see any problems with using them in a viv??? :?

Once everything is set, I'll clean it one last time, get the lid and lights on and check the temps for a week or so to ensure that it is all working properly... then we go get our bd :blob5: :blob8: :blob5:

Here's the whole room. I have a Welcome to my Zoo sign on my front door.

Some pretty basking rocks I found at a rock shop in Utah and couldn't leave without.

And, the most beautiful of all, the extraordinary blood python viv (/tub)

 I think that one needs a bit more decorating work. (He does have a water dish, I was just cleaning it at the time of the pic.)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
