Hello all,

I finally (well I wanted to for a while) started sort of a blog if you want to use that
word.
But with the less picture stuff since my camera has been playing dead with the batteries
I keep not buying I'm sorry.
But I will be updating this often til there is no more to say, or you can post some things to
if you want. Whatever floats your sailboat  besides the sail itself of course xD
Okay bad joke sorry, just feeling kinda out of it today, stupid Sunday, whyyy so boring
nevermind the sillyness or if you think I'm not funny that's cool too >.>
Here are two pics I will be uploading more soon, that's my promise to you wonderful dragon lovers out there!

I am so sorry to hear that Vash's time is near :(

Like everyone had already said, just hold him and assure him that you're there for him. The love he'll feel will help ease the transition, almost like an approval from you to cross that threshhold over to the Rainbow Bridge.

Hugs.

Wow, thanks to everyone! Even people I
never talk to but heard of came! Thanks
Tracie, I hear everyone comes to you for
advice so that's how I know you. Thanks
Goonie, Diamc (sorry if that's wrong),
Athena, Aunt Tonja and Deb abd Esther.
to hear kind words. He's still alive but
barely, almost like he is scared or doesn't
want to go, I'm not sure what else to do,
I hold him talk, softly, tell him it's ok
and I'll be following him to the door but
no I will not die but in theory I can go
follow him to the door but not go in.
He's 10 so I can understand, long life and
he's not ready to give up, but he won't eat
and poop is very small amount, but he poops
it half out so I have to take a paper towel and
pull it the rest out. I think he might have
something hurting..and my vet just retired and
now I have no one to euthanize him. I like the
natural way but I really do think he's hurting
since poop is hard for him to do. I'll keep you
updated.

Hello,

How is Vash doing tonight?
Let us know how he is doing. We are all thinking about you & Vash & hoping that things don't get too unbearable.
I hope he can relax & pass peacefully with you.

Hey Tracie, still going strong but not
able to pass on. I don't want him to
but it's for the best, as his eating has
completely deminished to nothing
poop is just well it's normal just
not able to push it all out, like he
has trouble...or it hurts. But he's on
reptile carpet, the uvb tube reptisun
10.0 on and basking light on. Oh yeah,
he can get within 6" of it. Since it's
repti carpet, it's not impaction. I'm
thinking he just doesn't want to go.

I'm sorry to hear everything you're going through. It's hard & I understand, Rubio took 3 days to pass away, it was so hard, knowing he wasn't going to survive...just keep hugging him, that's all you can do. My heart is with you...

Thanks, Deb, he comes out every now and
then. I have to next Fri put down Mickey
my cat down. She seems in great health
but she cries to use her box and blood
in her stool, also, she's got a greasy feeling
on her coat. So two animals are going, Vash
and Mickey. She's not in good health but
you'd never know by looking at her.

Vash is still alive but he seems like he's
very much trying to flip himself over to
end his life. It's so hard to watch him do
that to himself. I flip him back over on his
stomach. But it looks like he wants to be
on his back to die. I don't know if I should
let him flip himself over or just keep
flipping him back over. It's turned into a
horrible week, with finding out the 14 year
old cat has to go too. -_- it all sucks.

Oh dear, feel so bad for you and your family. It is so extremely hard to go through things like that. Your hearts much be aching.

They certainly have both had very long lives with you at 14 & 10 yrs and wonderful care. I'm sure they both know they are loved VERY much.

Is Vash still gasping quite a bit? All you can do is flip him back over at this point as being on his back may make him pass even slower and be more uncomfortable.

Thinking about all of you............

Thank, I will keep flipping him
over.

The family is very much in shock
that they both have to go.
My dad went to the Dr to find he
is diabetic. Gosh what is 2014
doing?

Yes he is gasping quite a bit every
now and then. Takes a big breath
and he exhales very very slowly.
He opens his mouth and I tried to
feed him, as a last meal but he spits
it out. Wants nothing to do with food.

Him spitting out the food is showing that he is ready to go, that he can't fight anymore. We went through this with 2 beardies. Best not to offer anymore food. You could try a drop or 2 of water to see if he's thirsty.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father too.

Thoughts & prayers for all.

Thank you for the answers, I will try water.
Would hate for him to dehydrate before he
goes. He should go hydrated.

My sister says she hates reptiles but she
is too much upset to him struggling. So
she holds him and hugs him tight not too
tight. She checks in on him when I have
my door open. He likes my room, I didn't
move him out, I did think about it so
everyone could see him, but proves to
painful for my sister.

My heart goes out to you and yes, I have the same question about 2014. Not been a good year so far, will be glad to see it go. Sorry to hear about your dad. I'm Type 2 diabetic, was diagnosed since 1990, so know what it's like, even though still on pills and not on insulin yet. It can be controlled through food, if he's Type 2. Does your dad have a dietician & nurse he sees? Good luck to him.

I'll be thinking of you over the next week.

Yes, type 2, he drank a lot of beer.
Vash had a bit of a seizure but stopped
quickly. Still exhaling a bit with his
mouth. I tried water and drank slowly,
till he passed out (sleep) but he wakes
in 5 minutes. I think old age is getting
viscous. I seen my snakes and gerbil
seizure before death.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
