Vash the dragon

Hello all,

I finally (well I wanted to for a while) started sort of a blog if you want to use that
word.
But with the less picture stuff since my camera has been playing dead with the batteries
I keep not buying I'm sorry.
But I will be updating this often til there is no more to say, or you can post some things to
if you want. Whatever floats your sailboat :lol: besides the sail itself of course xD
Okay bad joke sorry, just feeling kinda out of it today, stupid Sunday, whyyy so boring
nevermind the sillyness or if you think I'm not funny that's cool too >.>

Awww, sweet Vash, so sorry Blue, but so glad you were with him. RIP VASH...you'll be sorely missed. He's now with my Rubio, Titan and my girls and he's got his wings at Rainbow Bridge.

I am so sorry for your loss. Though it was heartbreaking, I'm glad you were together when he crossed over. What a good, long life he had with you. Now he is resting peacefully. Sending you big hugs and prayers.

I am so sorry blue. I am so glad he had you to take care of him and love him. He knew that and hung on as long as he could. You will be with him again someday and until then he is watching over you, running and playing and eating all the bugs he wants. Hugs sweetie. Again I am so sorry.

Thanks everyone! He was a good boy
took his last huge gulp of air and
passed away. We are cremating him
because I want to be scattered in the
ocean with him. I did all I could, baths
and food with calcium, no matter what
old age was on his tail, slowly creeping
up. So I'll be disinfecting his tank I know
it's old age but it's just better to do.
You know? Be 100% sure the next friend
won't get ill.

When the time is right, after grieving
I was thinking of a leopard gecko. They
look so cool. But for now, it's time for
healing after 10 years of work, effort
and love for the grumpy old man, it's
come to an end. I know this is for
bearded dragon stories but is it ok if
I stay here and post gecko stories on
here instead of the gecko section? I
mean, I'll go if need to but I know you
guys much better.

Just because you no longer have a beardie doesn't mean you have to leave.

Vash is now at peace, free from all pain and is running all around like a young beardie once again. You certainly did all you could for him and more. You made sure he wasn't dehydrated and he took that last drink just for you. He is now with all of our other very special beardies that have passed over to Rainbow Bridge. Our thoughts are with you and your family. R.I.P. special Vash

Hello,

I am so sorry about Vash. I am so glad that you were with him & that he wasn't alone. That IS the most important thing as he felt you with him which made it easier for him to pass, peacefully.
You can most definitely stay around to help others & talk with everyone.

My sincere condolences for you & your family of his loss. I know it rips your heart apart when this happens.

I thought a lot about what lizard to get
although geckos are cool, sadly spoke
to my mother and she says we won't
have the funds for bugs every day. I
get paid once a month by Social Security.
So I'm sticking with what I know, the
wonderful bearded dragon! Sometime
in October I will be getting another
dragon, never to replace the grumpy
old man lizard, but for companionship
since my cat is old and she has to be
put to sleep. My gerbil doesn't like to
be held much, certainly can't hold him
a lot, fish well...look at not play with,
and I will want someone to play with.
I know to leave the new guy or girl
alone for a week to let it get used to
home. It's been so long since a baby was
in the house, gonna refresh myself on
feedings and baths for a baby since they
dehydrate easy.

I think a dragon would bean excellent choice. Vash can never be replaced, but a new little guy or girl could help fill the hole in your heart.

I have ordered a citrus male dragon,
he's a hatchling, the breeder swears
he is a he and will be shipped tomorrow
should be here Friday or later if there
is a storm, I don't think there is as of
right now. I also bought a 100 watt bulb
to higher temp to a baby's liking and by
the temp gun it says 110, is that too hot?
Buying a cricket keeper for bugs like crix
and mealworms (waiting till he is 16").
I'm going to be starting a new thread
for Alucard... my brother named him for
me and he is a fan of Hellsing anime. My
iguana was named Alucard so I don't mind
reusing names. So yeah, he's now named
Alucard.

I would keep the basking temp at 110 for now, until you can test to see if Alucard doesn't like it that hot.
