I got my uvb light today and mounted it inside. Only problem is, it’s 22’’ instead of 24’’. I don’t know what size bulb to get to even switch it. I do plan on getting a whole new hood and stuff but that will have to be at a later date. Is a 22’’ ok for now?

the bulb is usually 2 inches shorter than the fixture. a 22 inch bulb fits in a 24 inch fixture. i have a 36 inch fixture with a 34 inch bulb.

I think you got a T 8 - look on the bulb and tell me it will say on the bottom of the writing

Ok just checking - distance for the T 5 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor inside the tank-- that's w/ a fine mesh screen - if your screen is a wide holed it can stay on top distance 8-10 inches
What size bulb should I use? I got it from Amazon so it’s probably not a very good quality bulb but I can’t find any 20’’ bulbs

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
