UVB light bulb?

Hi I bought a female bearded dragon about 2 months ago. I bought her as an adult. The guy didn't want her because he bought a puppy and couldn't spend time with her. Anyway she came with everything but I am concerned about the lights she has a night time light and a day time one. The night time is a red bulb witch seems fine but her day time one is a yellow into with keep her warm but I don't know if it's a Uvb bulb I do t know what one looks like I an really new with bearded dragons I know they need one were to I buy them? I think the one she has is one but I'm not sure all I get when I research is a Uv Mercury bulb is that the same? I got really concerned when I read an article about bearded dragons not having the proper lighting and getting really sick help! If you can find a link to a bulb on Amazon that would be great!

Generally UVB lights are white and not yellow. I don't think I've ever seen one that's yellow, actually. What you have is most likely a regular basking light. I'd suggest that you look into getting a Reptisun 10.0 as it's one of the better tested brands. You will, however, need to keep a basking bulb as most UVB lights do not emit heat.

Also, I'd personally recommend not using a red light at night, light tends to disrupt a Beardies sleep which can be bad. If you can, find one that emits heat and not light. Or if your house is warm enough you can just keep the lights off and/or cover your Beardie up with a blanket.

Not at all I am really happy for the help! My light isn't yellow I mean like it looks like a regular house bulb color. But ill definitely look into a new.lighting system! For the night light I guess I see to keep the old owners light because she was so used to it this might sound weird but I check her turning the night and she sleeps all night she sleeps on her heat pad at night so I'm not worried about her not getting heat turning the night. The red bulb dose give off some heat. :wink:

Not at all I am really happy for the help! My light isn't also could you give me a different brand for lights I use dome lighting and would rather get a build that I could use in my dome I don't have a strip light
