Hi,

Cutting a long story short, I have saved a Beardy from horrific living conditions, and now I need help in keeping him alive.

He hasn't ate in over 2 months and is very thin. He is dehydrated. Unfortunately, he wont eat or drink anything.

He hasn't been handled in over a year, and has had no heat or UV for about the same time.

Im not clued up on Beardies, but im learning fast. Any help is appreciated!!

When you can upload photos it will be helpful. In the meantime, try offering some baby food via plastic syringe or dropper. Just put some on his nose and see if he'll lick it up at first. I've had good luck with squash, green bean, and sweet potato baby food. If you can get your hands on some Oxbow Critical Care it is good to offer as well. This will help hydrate him and give him some nutrition. I also suggest weighing him regularly and recording the readings so you can track his progress.

If it's warm where you are, take him outside for some natural sunlight. Otherwise, he will need to rely on well tuned artificial lighting. If you can provide photos of his enclosure and details about it and his lighting as well, it will be helpful.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
