Hi all. Gregory is doing something weird, it seems like he's gasping for breath.

I am in middle of uploading a video. Will post when it's done.

He's about 6 1/2 months old. He did just start to shed again.

He actually started doing this when he was eating his crickets. First time I got them from a new company. I think he might be throwing up. He just did it again, but for longer, and then started chewing. He's still doing it though.

I know my beardies will puff up their beards when they are trying to shed. I would keep a close eye on him for the time being, though.

As I watch him more, he seems to be exhaling hard, not inhaling. Does it make sense that he might be trying to throw up?

Oh, and he's only shedding on the tip of his nose and one leg now. I doubt he's trying to shed. Especially since he's never done this before.

or he could be throwing a beardie tantrum. OUr 14 month old dragon does that these days.
Make sure humidity isnt more than 50% but the short video you showed to me looked like he was letting you know he was mad about something.

Hello,

How often does he do that? It almost looks like something is scaring him. Are you putting your hand over him or moving it quickly overhead? That can scare him, causing him to puff out & hiss like that.

Your video was very good. It is a perfect demonstration of a Beardie response to feeling threatened. Something scared/concerned him enough that he felt he had to display. Were you standing over him when it happened, or perhaps very close by? His response was not one of an ill BD, but, rather, a very healthy looking dragon. He is GORGEOUS!!!! :)

The puff sound is not uncommon at all. There are even BD's out there that can make grunt type noises.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
