Not going to lie, those pictures made me cry a little. Makes me wanna go home and hug my dragon immediately. (Posting to get updates, looks like this one might make it!)

You're awesome for rescuing him! Keep up the good work! I really hope he pulls through, whoever did this is not a normal human being. You've come to a great place for help, and super glad you could get to a herp vet!! Hope you keep us updated, we're all rooting for you!! :D

That is great news!!! Hopefully he recovers with the least amount of problems... please feel free to come back and these guys can get you really hooked up with his viv to aid in his healing.
We bought cheech a new tank and set up. He now lives in a 55 gal tank. I also bought the Reptisun T5 HO terrarium hood and the Reptisun T5 HO 10.0. He's now got a 100 W bright white basking light on one side and a 100 W black light on the other to supplement heat at night since he's in such a big tank now. He doesn't have much decor in there right now since my girlfriend and I didn't have enough money after the new tank and lights. He seems to be enjoying the new tank as well.

Here's a picture of what I have to feed him for the next 10 days (its called Emerald Omnivore and is a powder I have to mix 3 parts powder to 2 parts water ) , and the Calcium Glubionate Syrup I have to give him for the next 21 days 2 times a day.

He seems to be very good hands, I think the vet you have supervising is a keeper , he seems to know his stuff.

Feel free to call them and ask him questions if you have any concerns.

..... you'll find helping him and seeing him improve very rewarding while at the same time very stressful.

We're all sending either lots of goodvibes (us unbelievers) and prayers (the believers) in his direction and pulling for him....

That's really good to see. :) So if he is eating the food pretty well, no choking or spitting it out then that's a good sign. It's always much less stress if they can eat on their own, hopefully he'll keep it up and won't crash, sometimes that can happen even after they initially do well.

Be sure that his basking area is about 105, sometimes a 100 watt bulb that high up doesn't quite get it hot enough.

But so far so good, you guys are a very caring couple of people to take him in + shell out the $$ on such a sick little creature. :)

I'm glad he's doing well, I hope he makes it...The only thing I'll say is to please get rid of the black night light, he doesn't need it, and it will disrupt his sleep. Even in a 90 gallon tank his temps will not drop below 65, even down to 60 is okay, they like it to be very cool at night, and more importantly the purple light it emits will cause him issues, they see in color just like us. Other than that it looks good. You'll need to make your very next purchase a digital thermometer with a probe, as you must get his temps correct, basking spot, Hot Side, and Cool Side. In that tank you'll be able to get a good temperature gradient. He looks better, more alert and the fact that he crawled up there to bask is a good sign.

So first thing this morning I have him his medications again and fed him and GUESS WHAT, HE POOPED twice sometime last night!! ? so at least I know he's digesting it right? He was alot more responsive today for feeding lol he fought the syringe again but seemed to be content once the food was in his belly. I was curious if any of you guys had any extra decor items laying around that you would be willing to donate for his new tank because I'm pretty much broke at this point and I would like to add some to his tank so he has more stuff to climb on and play on as he gets his strength back. The only thing i have in there right now is that rock.

Probably best to keep his viv very spartan for now , as adding new décor is likely to stress him more.

When he's on the mend and become much more settled is the time to make décor changes and addition , one item at a time to keep his stress to a minimum.

Cheech decided to get up and play around. It was so cute watching him run around his tank this morning. He even decided to play in his water dish a little. ?

How cute, looks like he's even drinking a little bit ! You can take the water bowl out at night, some weak or sick lizards actually fall asleep in them overnight + that would chill them + be bad for the scales.

For free cage decor, I pick up nice logs + sticks from outside, nothing with sap or a pine smell. Them just pop in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for an hour to kill any potential pests [ which I've never seen any evidence of on a single piece of wood yet ] You can also pick up nice clean rocks + give a scrub in soapy water + then rinse, they don't need to go in an oven.

Maybe one piece of wood or rock for now, nothing that goes up high at all though.

So driftwood would be fine to put in his tank as long as i pop it in the oven for a minute to kill any possible pests on them?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
