UPDATE... Still not looking good.

Ok so my beardie as of a week and half ago has stopped eating for the past 5 days! I have tried rubbing her mouth, hand feeding her, leaving her alone to eat, and about everything so far besides the baby food which I am going to try when I get home. I thought wax worms are dragons candy.... well yeah not mine! Even with water I drop water on her nose and no luck i put it on my fingers in hopes she will lick it still nothing! How is she still alive?!? Everytime I have seen her today she is sleeping, even after I turned her lights on! She ran around after me messin around in her tank removing things so she could see crickets and she started running around and i peaked around the corner to watch to see if she was going to eat and she was just running around and she even fell off one of her branches. Then went right back up her branch to her basking spot and closed her eyes! Should I just take her to the herp vet. Or is this something normal they do? Her cool side is like 84 her basking is 105. I have spent so much on making everything right for her and now i don't even know if shes going to be able to pull out of this. I'm not giving up but any new deas could sure help!

Oh, I'm sorry she is still not eating. She is a stubborn one for sure. I cant think of anything to help. I hope someone has some ideas.

Have you tried just leaving her totally alone for a day or two l eaving phoenix or even wax worms in a dish? I know I am grasping at straws here. I just feel bad for you and the baby.

ok so i can not touch her or mess with her for a day or two and i can leave worms in her tank?? What will they eat??

i dont think you need to worry about the worms, maybe just come in and check to make sure they are not dead. you said it was an update, what was wrong with her before?

has she shed recently? maybe she is just about to shed and doesnt want to eat. a pic might help.

Hi, sorry to hear that your beardie isn't eating. How old is she? How long have you had her? Can you fill us in on the UVB you're using, temps, type of thermometer, etc? If you put this info in another thread, I didn't run across it, sorry.

I know it sounded strange and maybe a horrible thing, I am sorry. But phoenix worms will be ok in the dish for a day or two. What I was suggesting was to not mess the baby. Turn the lights on, put the phoenix worms in the dish and leave it. Check on the baby, from afar if you can and as often as you feel you should.

If the phoenix worms die in the dish, you will know. You can replace them as necessary. I only suggested so there is little stress to the baby as possible. You have already tried handfeeding etc. This ads more stress on the baby dragon. Just two days is all I am suggesting to see if it will help.

I do know how stressful it is because it took up til a month to get Calypso eating well, and only without me looking. At least she did eat some.

Update : Oh sorry i had wrote on other posts in the health section about pretty much the same thing. I am almost positive you gave me alot of advice on the other posts also! I have had her almost 2 weeks now she ate for a couple of days (pinhead crickets and a few waxes) then kinda stopped. Now she hasnt ate anything for like a week she was shedding when i got her but it looks like she has stopped. I finally got her to drink and lick some babyfood off of my fingers not much but its a start. The weird thing is she has been having poops on a regular daily basis. When they bask do they normally close their eyes? she always has her eyes closed and its almost as if she fights just to open them! I have tried not to handle her like you suggested but i still try to get her to eat and drink so i handle her short periods of times and only in her tank. Well im praying everyday she gets the strength to start eating again its braking my heart thinking one day im going to find her and she wont wake up! Thanks for all the help!

well this morning went to check on dino and she is really dark and underneath even is almost solid black. Shes not drinking the water or baby food i drip on her nose.
