I fixed your picture links for you so that they show up here. Thanks for posting them.
Didn't see any mention of a
UVB light, do you have one yet? Without a good
UVB bulb, your beardie will develop metabolic bone disease and all sorts of other health issues.
A heat lamp of 250 watts is a LOT of wattage for a 55 gallon tank. You may find that you only need one of the 75 watt basking bulbs and perhaps a smaller wattage household bulb on the cool side.
A very important and critical question, what type of thermometer do you have or are you getting? If the tank is too hot, it can cause rapid dehydration and even a heat stroke. One of my tanks was a 55 gallon and with a basking area 6" from the top, I only needed a 75 watt basking bulb and a 40 watt household bulb on the cool side.
I have to agree with the others that there is a HUGE risk of using a heat rock, even if covered by a sock. They get very hot & can also malfunction which can cause very serious burns that could get infected. A lot of us on this site have seen pictures of beardies bellies that were burned by a heat rock.
A night light isn't really a good idea because they can see colored lights so it prevents them from getting a good nights sleep which is very important to their well being. A 60 watt ceramic heat emitter would be better to use if the tank drops below 65 degrees.
We only want what is best for your beardie so that you can both have a wonderful time together for many years.
