Is it safe to trim a beardies' nails? Holly tries to run on my carpet and she you can hear her nails sticking to the carpet. Can I trim them with the same clippers I use on my small dog and cats?

Yes, you can trim them with clippers. Just be careful to only trim the black ends right on the tip. I kind of run the trimmers along the back of the nail moving forward toward the tip until it seems to catch. That's usually where the nail tip meets the base and where it can be cut safely. I usually keep a tin of cornstarch on hand in case I nick the nail and it bleeds a little (I've never had to use it - it's just a precaution). I've also used emery boards to file the nails down a little bit if I want them to have a little bit of climbing traction left.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
