I'm going on a 2 week vacation and I'm taking my Bearded dragon with me. what can i use for habitat while home for Xmas?
leaving him is not an option.

How old is your beardie ?
Are you traveling by car ?

We actually took our beardie(when she was a baby)to a hotel while fleeing from a hurricane. At that time she may have been around 5 or 6 inches long, so we took a 10 gallon tank. We took lights and everything she would need. Once we got to the hotel we plugged it all in and we were in bussiness.

Well Zak-n-Wheezie have gone with us out of town for weekend trips before but we always took their viv with us and just set it up when we get to out destination. But that doesn't sound like an option for you so I might suggest a large rubbermaid tub that you could put the lighting on top of. Kind of like they do at the reptile shows only you'd only have one beardie in the tub. I'd take all of the furniture that I could from his viv so he feels somewhat at home with some kind of familiar surroundings.

my bd is 23 1/2 months old.18 in long nose to tail.
hes so spoiled he hardly ever sit under the lamps
hes fine in cage after meals and when we wake up in morning but
after he poops he scratching to get out. hes my little cuddle bug.

yes we will be traveling by car he did fine on our weekend trip to Orlando.
but as u know its quite sunny there. I just don't want to leave him with anyone.
2 weeks is too long to leave him with neighbors.he would freak out.
