I have heard that tile is a good substrate and I am thinking of putting it in my new 90 gal tank.

is there any type of tile that is recommended??? also should it be grouted and sealed?????

Flooring tile is an excellent substrate. I use porcelane tile, rough faced. It is easy to clean and trims your beardies nails so you don't have to.

Don't grout it, you'll want to be able to remove it so you can give it a good scrub once a week. To avoid damage to the glass on the floor of your tank, put down a foam shelf liner then tile.

some people also use slate rock as a substrate...nothing wrong with tile if thats what u want...only advantage to slate is it probably absorbs heat a little better...just another option

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
