Substrate Question

Substrate question? Paper towels have turned into a slip and slide so I decided to look for new substrate.
Is Vinyl Shelf Liner- Non adhesive safe- because it's made with Vinyl Chloride. It has a particular smell and I'm worried about the smell and the dangers of Vinyl Chloride. Will the smell bother his respiratory system?

The terrarium liner that comes in brown- resembling a carpet?

What about 100% polyester table cloths- smooth fabric?
There's another liner that I heard of and am curious if anyone else knows what it is. It comes in black/ grey. I need something that won't act like a slip and slide.

Or perhaps I need to use shop towels. They're made of tougher paper.

It's a bit pricey at 45 dollars but @KarrieRee had mentioned it so many times, I bought the Zen habitat liner. Thats the best 44 dollars I ever spent. It is cushioned so it's easy on their hips and poop ABSOLUTELY don't stick to it. Even dried up, a spritz of my cleaner and it wipes right up. I got the 2 foot by 4 foot, I'm not sure if they offer other sizes but I think scissors would cut it.

That's what I was looking for. I saw one on amazon for 15.99. I don't know if it's cushioned or not. But, I'll look into this one too.
The poor boy's having a flare up in his front leg again after climbing up numerous times on his own. I gave him some Serrapeptase. He's eaten some mustard greens, butternut squash, bee pollen, and some of his powders.
Last night, don't know if it's cause for concern, but one of his eyes was bulging during his sleep. He'll do it some times during the day before yawning wide.

Walmart: 18ft length... you can cut to size about (4)
I've have the same one in the tank for over a year.
Have to keep their nails cut if you want it to last.

I have a 1/2 square of the clear shelf liner that fits his cold side. None on his hot side. Guess, that's better than none. I put it over his paper towels. I stored it in a cabinet, not used at all for anything.
I have plans to get him a table to stabilize his tank but now I'm having to buy a dining room table instead.
I plan and plan to get him new things for him.
I'm tempted to ask people for help in getting things for him to use.
