Thugs World

Hi, I wanted to start a Thug thread just for my updated pics. He is getting so big now. He wont come out of the viv for me with out a little tag play but as soon as my 15 year old walks up he will let him pick him up without any fight. . Funny thing is he is at school and i am home all day and talk to him. Thug is starting to like his bath time now, well he doesnt try the great escape anyways. He just gives us looks.
We live in WNY and its going to get cold here soon so we put a second warm spot light with a dimmer and we will see if that controls the cool side. He has a large warming pad under the tank and he seems to like it but we are cold then warm here right now so I have to watch the temps and unplug it and plug it back in depending the temps :mrgreen:

uh oh Thug has refused to eat for 2 days now. He just became un interested in everything. This is so not like him. I might have to change him back to the 40 breeder this continues. Ive tried everything to get him to eat.

how old is Thug now?

When Tyrus was around 7-8 months he decided he didn't like to eat anymore for a good week, I was stressing the whole time. One morning I put the crickets in his dish with a sigh thinking he wasn't going to eat them anyway, he went after them and gave me a look like I hadn't offered him food in a week :shock:

Before that week he ate bugs twice a day everyday. Ever since that week he will only eat bugs once a day, I think he was just naturally cutting down on feeders.

EDIT: If worse comes to worse you could try an appetite stimulant such as Flukers Repta-Aid critical care. Worked wonders when Ty had MBD and didn't want to eat.

Yep he is 7 months and thats exactly what he did. He ate 2 crickets this morning and shot back up on his bask. I was wondering if he is changing over to 1 a day. He has been slowly going into his greens and im wondering if he figured out this is my change over so Im going to offer more greens. He has me all shook up. Wouldnt be the first time so im not in a full panic yet ha ha
Good size poop also. His hornworms will be here soon so we will see if he truly is cutting back.

Hey, Thug must be changing over. He plowed into his squash and the greens. Ate 5 crickets and ate his dish clean.
I want to keep him on his greens so what's the most popular salad people put together?
Also how do I dust during this change half cricket half salad?

Thugs growing up! Lol you can expect to see some hormones soon haha!

I like to vary my salads, mostly I use collards, dandelion green, kale, turnip greens, squash, green beans and snap peas.

I use liquid calcium so I'm not much help in the dusting department.

Hormones. He already has tons of attitude ha ha Thug likes to eat around noon now and very little dinner as far as crickets. Then when he takes on the greens and right after nestles in for a lay down before his lights go off.

Somebody is really liking his mustard greens and of course he will never give up on his squash.

Thug is pretty much settled in his new home. He has been shedding like crazy. I just had him on the scale and the little fatty is 309 grams.
