Hi im thinking of putting tile in the enclosure i have but i have a slight problem....IDk anything about it.
Does it need to be sealed? Can it just be there side by side with no seal? Is it expensive? I am just so lost lol
i dont think theres any need to seal it. im pretty sure stone is good to go in a reptile tank.
i have both natural slate and rough ceramic tiles and they both clean up beautifully. hot water, antibacterial soap and vigorous scrubbing does the job just fine.
i didnt get tile i got a very similar brand lol i will be adding pictures of it soon. I spent 6 dollars and got Sahara a light fixture I think it was floor covering but it felt as hard(if not harder) than tile
i will be posting pictures probably tonight and now that you mention it it may be to smoth i havent watched him walk on it yet, but it may be a little to slick i have tile tho i just need to be able and cut it so i could replace it i suppose???
if your tiles are slick they are plobably ceramic tiles, in which case you can use the back side of the tile. i use upsidedown ceramic tiles in LG's cage because theyd be too slick otherwise.
if the back of the tile has some kind of pattern, impression or texture your ok but if its just as smooth as the face you might have to look around for something more suitable.
what do you mean by,
i just need to be able and cut it so i could replace it i suppose???
what i eant by that was i have ceramic stile but it is sticking in the bottom of the enclosure so i cant get it up, however it is not thick and i can simply put tile over it and not seal it in. And by cutting it i meant that the actual tile i have doesnt really fit in the viv so i need to get it cut to where it will fit... i have a wet saw so it sholdnt be too hard... right?
