So, I feel like i'm confident enough with DIO's care to retire my thread under health!

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been occupied with Levi. He's a weird little guy. He likes to stay on the cool side of his tank more often than not, but the Vet says he has a perfect bill of health. She couldn't find anything wrong with him. He's not even a year old, so I highly doubt it's behavior related to brumation.

He's doing great so far. He receives a bath every or every other day to make sure he passes safely, and when presented with crickets he goes into an active hunt mode. He's started turning his nose to collard greens but still eats other foods. We're still trying to branch out and coax him into eating more foods.

DIO is officially a year old, and we're close to one year since I brought her home on a cold winter night!

Speedwagon has a new apartment!

So yesterday I went to give DIO a bath and was confounded when she pooped- it was very broken up. The same thing has happened when she or Levi have been clogged up and finally managed to force out their poo, or if they swim and kick at their stool. I couldn't figure it out, but after giving DIO a bath I found the culprit: Bits of Superworm!

It took me a second, but the lightbrown/darkbrown stripe pattern made me realize that it was a hollowed out segment of a worm. To celebrate her 12th month anniversary I let DIO pig out on some Supers as a treat, and they're just passing through her system now!

I like the new setup! Yes, the superworm shells can be tough to digest sometimes. OK in moderation though.

New in the world of DIO, she's started pooping in small fragments daily. If this continues should I schedule a vet for an X-ray? I hope she hasn't picked up enough loose hair to clog her system up. Otherwise she acts like her normal, social, playful self.

How is her weight? Perhaps offer her some softer, easier to pass foods for a bit and see if that helps.

I've yet to find a decent weight, but her diet has recently been made up of collard greens and the occasional blueberry. She had crickets a couple days ago, but the "fragmented pooping" started before then.

Try skipping the blueberries for a bit and see if that helps. They used to give Cooper an upset stomach.
