the runt of the 1st clutch appears to have lost a bit of his tail. im not sure how much it doesn't look like much? is this common? what should i do with him, i stopped the bleeding.
This is one of the things that you have to do with hatchlings. You have to keep an eye on who the bullies are and who the lizards are that are being bullied. The "runt" as you call it needs to be separated from his larger siblings or he will basically get eaten.
I usually give a discount for a nip, unless you find the part of the tail that was bitten off, which is rare, you have to take an educated guess as to how much was lost. I usually say "minor" or "major" tail nips. He should be fine though, just separate him from his siblings.
The poor thing, hope you separated him and are watching closely for any signs of infection as well as using Betadine soaks and triple antibiotic ointment on it.
