The Life and Times of Helen Hawking, dbnr

I first noticed Helen Hawking in a classifieds ad, looking for a fellow companion in a lonely world. Her piece sang to me and one picture in particular caught my eye.

I felt that I had found a kindred spirit, someone with the same zest and zeal for life that I possessed. We spoke at first through an intermediary before finally deciding to meet. She came to me in a rather unorthodox fashion- boxed up and restrained.

But we quickly found common ground and chatted a bit over a light meal.

Something I said must have disturbed her however, because she cut our talk short and scuttled over to a corner, seeking solitude in an unfamiliar environment and leaving me to clean up what was left of her lunch.

She's putting on a little weight, surely but slowly. Also brightening up in her oranges very nicely. I just wish my camera would show it :roll:

My sister came by last week and, after about a month of not seeing HH, said that she's gotten bigger. She's certainly entered a phase of continuous shed the last couple of weeks. I have noticed that her gait has become a bit more stilted but she still gets around very well

wow has she grown and her eyes are so bright. is it me or the angle of the pictures, she seems to have straightened out abit. No matter shes still a cutey pie. You are doing remarkably well with her and she seems to get on perfectly with her little imperfections. Anyway, give her a throat rub for me. Shes beautiful!

It's just the angle of the pictures unfortunately. Her back may have gotten worse as she's grown and take a strange twist at her neck, but she doesn't let it hold her back! And will do with the throat rub

Helen looks great! I love how big and bright her eyes are.
Your sister was right -- Helen had gotten bigger. Her arms are much thicker now and her tummy's quite round :mrgreen:

Wow, she's beautiful, I just read the thread and really enjoyed the video, she sure is fast. And she sure is handling her disability wonderfully, her legs are so high when she gets around and I so enjoyed her hunting abilities (wish mine would hunt, they will only eat if hand fed...really...shame on them, eh :lol: )

Loved Darwin's beard, too, guess he didn't like being batted on the head, but after Sansa is a cat & what else are beardies for but to nibble on and bat around, just another toy, right?

The latest pics of Helen are showing up her colours really well, too, she's so adorable, such bright eyes and so interested in everything around her. Thanks for sharing her life with you, she's got a great mommy :love5: you take such good care of her!

At least now I'll be able to keep track of her with you!

It's been so funny watching Darwin in his hormonal state stomping, head bobbing, and black bearding. After Darwin lets out a series of head bobs, I'll look over and HH is always arm waving in response. Daily routine for them seems to be:

Bob. Bob. Bob. Bob.

Seconds later:

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave.

I made a short video of HH chasing down a dubia today for anyone that's interested. I notice that sometimes she seems to have trouble swallowing her food and it takes her a couple times. You can see it in the video. Other than that, she's perfectly healthy and happy!
