The Life and Times of Helen Hawking, dbnr

I first noticed Helen Hawking in a classifieds ad, looking for a fellow companion in a lonely world. Her piece sang to me and one picture in particular caught my eye.

I felt that I had found a kindred spirit, someone with the same zest and zeal for life that I possessed. We spoke at first through an intermediary before finally deciding to meet. She came to me in a rather unorthodox fashion- boxed up and restrained.

But we quickly found common ground and chatted a bit over a light meal.

Something I said must have disturbed her however, because she cut our talk short and scuttled over to a corner, seeking solitude in an unfamiliar environment and leaving me to clean up what was left of her lunch.

Absolutely not, Tom. I completely disagree with the vet in that regard. I think that if she had been born with no quality of life, then it would have been kinder to put her down. She was hatched with spunk and a gleam in her eyes that you couldn't help but root for.

It's become such a habit of mine to look into HH to see how she's doing that I still find myself looking into her tank when I walk to the kitchen. It's a bit startling to realize each time that she's not there so I put the tank away.

Thank you all for your support and amazing kindness throughout HH's life. They really did mean a lot to us.

You're very welcome and I agree with you, Helen deserved her time in this world. She loved you and loved life, and you gave her the change to live, what better gift could you have given her? You'll always have your memories of her, too.

My Titan passed away from Yellow Fungus on Dec 19/13, but I still gave him the best life he could have had, he was only 1 1/2 yrs old, but I have lots of pictures of him over the spring & summer that proved he did have a wonderful beardie life. So I don't feel that he was cheated, even though he got so sick at the end. He loved being with my and my crew. Always good memories there.

HH definitely was hatched with spunk and such a loving gleam in her eyes.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
