The Infamous Beardie Blankets By Dawn

Hey ya'll! So over time, I've read (and seen pics) that a valued member here, Dawn, sews and sells AMAZING beardie blankets. I'm wanting to order a few of them, but I can't for the Life of me find a single thread or link that can direct me where I need to go. I understand that she's been dealt a blow with the loss of her beloved Quasi, and so am unsure if she is at this time taking orders.

Can someone help me out in this endeavor? Thanks so much!!

Dawn had made a post before Christmas of last year and was taking orders. She has been really busy with life in general, but I'm sure if you were to shoot her a pm, you could get her to make you a blankie.

Thanks Dawn for suggestions I found the "winterfleece " today yay..... got some funky baby patterns to then as well
Boy and girl colors my scaley babies will be snuggly at night really soon with matching hammocks to match as well yay

I am new to this Beardie Blanket phenomena! Is there any particular reason for the blanket, or is it just a cute, novelty thing?

I can't say that it's a novelty. Apparently, a lot of our little scaly friends really enjoy soft, fuzzy things. Blankies, small stuffed animals, fuzzy toys... it kinda brings out the cuddle in them. One of my beardies, Leonidas, hasn't really taken a true liking to blankies yet, but he never had them before me, so he probably just thinks I'm crazy when I try to wrap him up. My other one, Spaz, on the other hand, loves them. She especially loves being the key ingredient in a "beardie burrito".

Striker loves to be wrapped up in his at night keeps him warm and he will be warmer now since tomorrow the new tile flooring is going in both the vivs, Sand I said to the hubby is going he wasnt happy but I said do you hold them play with them well then never mind.lol
Athena will still have a little sand box so she can dig but all will be tile.

So they can both be wrapped up snug all night.

That is absaloutly brilliant! I have had Bearded Dragons for 7 years now, an i never new they where fond of a good old cuddle in a blanket, i heard a few things about it but thought "Crazy people!"... But then i heard more and more about them.. And thought "It might just be me?" Haha

well,learn something new everyday I read this post about Beardie blankets and wondered how Sunny would like sleeping in one,so when I got her out to hold tonight & she was wanting to run around I lightly wrapped her in a dish towel & within a minute she was asleep lol :lol: she's been sleeping for about an hour,only waking up when I lift up the towel to look at her. So ~I guess she likes it & I will have to buy some fleece to make her a blankie soon

Sunny was sleeping so soundly I put her into her tank in the dish towel & made it look like a cave so she would have plenty of air.when I came out this morning she was still in there asleep! I looked in at her & she opened an eye and looked at me,but stayed cuddled up--that is too funny :lol: so,yh,I definately want to make her a blankie
