She's looking so good!
Eri went through a phase of only eating crunchy greens, too. It lasted a few months and I threw in fresh greens with the crunchy ones when I noticed him eating. Not sure if it helped or he just grew out of it, but eventually he stopped leaving the fresh ones behind and just ate them all. There are other dragons who prefer their green dry, too.
She's looking great, though, so you're definitely doing something right!!
So cute that she's got her own treasure, too!
I would love to see pics of her tank; I enjoy seeing how everyone's got theirs set up, they're all so unique!

Ill try to get pics of the tank this weekend, sadly she still only has a 20 gallon. I have plans for building a new cage but ive been real busy latly hopfuly i can get started on it in a week or two.

Got into a discussion with my friend about better pets bearded dragon vs his bird. He basicly considered Daenerys the equivalent of a real cool picture, and said his bird has more personality. Its very anoying having to always explain how smart and personable bearded dragons are  I'll take a lovable beardie who never bites vs a bird that bites you so hard you buise n bleed, and thats what he described as a "warning bite"

Looks like i might be getting a second bearded dragon  i guess i caught the beardie bug  My dad was talking to someone at the rabies clinic who has a bearded dragon because there kid got sick of it and went to college and left it at home. The lady with the dragon said she is feeding it crickets collard greens and dandelions but i have yet to hear age and sex of it. My dad said she asked if i wanted another so i told him to get the age, sex, lighting, and cage size and see if she wanted to give it all away with the dragon. Hopfuly i can give her all the right info and sell her roaches if she decides not to get rid of it though. :D

Congrats on your new dragon. I just rescued an 8 month old too. It's amazing how many needy and unwanted dragons there are in Denver. I, myself live just outside of Denver. The only rescue I have found so far is in Longmont, CO... which I'd like to work with in the future as time/money/equipment allows. I sure wish there was a reptile rescue in the Denver metro area, or that I had a means to start one. It's sad to see all the needy dragons...

I've had so many pets throughout my life I can't really say any one animal is better than another. I've had fish that played tag with my finger, my siblings and friends have had nice and rats that snuggled, and I had a budgie who was my best friend even though he never learned to talk.
I've also had cats and dogs and rabbits.
We get attached to our pets, and no matter what species they are, they're part of our family.
I wouldn't trade my dragons for the world, and since I've joined this forum (nearly two years now), I've "gotten to know" so many beardies all with unbelievable individuality. I wouldn't say any of them are boring! Unfortunately you will never be able to convince someone how special your dragon is unless they're willing to get to know her. I have friends who won't visit because "lizards are gross". Their loss, not mine. :p
It's wonderful that you have that special bond with Daenerys, and we're enjoying getting to know her with you, too!!

As for having a second dragon, hope everything turn out well!! Eri was a bit unexpected and I was caught off-guard with extra expenses, so hopefully you're able to be a bit more prepared than I was, lol.
Can't wait for more pics!

I got Daenerys from Pet advantage in Burlington Vt
oops, your name and first line of your post got me lol. im sure you're going to have quite a bit of that haha.

anyway, good job with it either way. I've rescued a few leopard geckos but never a beardy as I never had that much extra space as i do now.

I should have no problem with another dragon, as long as it comes with a 40gallon+ cage and most of the other things needed. My colony of roaches is finaly taking off and i have many dandelions growing outside my window now. I also have a spot in my room for the new dragon so Daenareys and it dont have to be in sight of each other thats IF i do end up getting another wich its still iffy. The lady might of been just kidding but my dad said he would see the next time he saw her wich i dont think will be too soon.

Daenareys got to go outside in the grass for the first time 2 days ago, and she was very mad lol. First time ive ever seen her go full on black beard with flattened body, she much prefered staying right on me  she's not a fan of the big scary outdoors unless shes looking at it from the safty of a window.

Lol! That's cute! She might just not be use to going outside. I have a ferret leash for Striker because she loves the outdoors, but again, every dragon is different.
If you have a yard that's safe, sometimes it's fun to let them chase a cricket or roach in the grass, and if it's warm enough, some like to have bath time outside, too. :)
Nothing wrong with an indoor dragon, though! :)

She's started to get more used to outside she even walked in the grass and ran around a little yesterday, still alot more skittish then when she's inside though.

She is adorable! I am so glad you rescued her from those terrible conditions. I recently purchased my beardie from a pet store and he was in okay condition and is doing well now. I just wish I could rescue them all and give them the care they need and deserve!

Made Daenerys a sweet "Here there be dragon" sign for her cage, ill try and get pics this weekend of it. The Dragon theme in her cage is comming together nicely, this weekend i might start buying supplies for her final cage as well. Shes starting to look cramped in the little 20 gallon :(

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
