Full tails are over rated  Because of Daenarys beardies with full tails look awkward to me, im to used to her little club tail. Its funny when she trys to whip it around when i pick her up in a awkward way bc instead of acting like a whip its more of a club or mace 8)

Got some Hornworms, superworms, and butterworms today while picking up rest of my stuff from my old apartment in Vermont. This is her first time having Superworms and she seems to like them but doesnt seem to like them as much as the butterworms and hornworms. She hasnt had butterworms and hornworms in about 2 months though so she was loving those. Past two months its been just dubia roaches so she was probly looking for somthing a bit diffrent.

She ate 11 superworms 10 butterworms and 2 hornworms i offered her 15 superworms but she seemed to be full by then. She only got offered 10 butterworms and 2 hornworms though trying to save those for later and feed of mostly superworms for now. Still have 100 or so dubia and about 700 more comming though plus a colony that just produced its first group of babie roaches :D so i dont think Daenarys is going to starve anytime soon lol

Cool those hornworns down or you won't be able to save them. Out of all the different types of feeders I've purchased, horn worms by far, have the shortest "shelf life"
Don't put them in the fridge tho. I followed mulberryfarms.com directions to cool them down and it works well. I used a "6-pack" cooler and a small ice pack

Im not to worried theyr all small right now and ide like them to grow alot more thats mainly why im waiting to feed the hornworms off. Ive had them before and it took around a week or two for them to reach a good size, the only issue i had was they came very close to running out of the food they come with. I plan on feeding 1-2 every day though and then more when they are a good size.

Daenereys is awesome, congrats on your find! It sounds like you're both head over heels. I have the biggest soft spot for "B Grade" animals; I know exactly where you're coming from. What a steal for you. <3

Wow, what a gorgeous girl! I'm glad you found each other!
I love that your Grandma calls her her grandchild! My Mom (who has 5 grand kids through my brother and sister) calls my two her "Grandlizzies". So awesome when people recognize they're part of the family. :D

Daenarys is finaly starting to eat her veggies wich right now are mainly collard and mustard greens however she seems to only like them when they are dried up and crunchy  I think it should be fine as long as she is getting her water from baths every other day.

Here are some more recent pics of DaeDae (Daenarys nickname pernounced like day day) she is up to 430 grams now and still has a healthy apetite. She just started to eat veggies/greens daily wich ive been giving her collard greens mustard greens and fresh dandalions all of wich she wont touch until its dried n crunchy so i usualy prepare and she eats it when its dried. She is still eating around 10-20 3/4 inch roaches as well once a day.

That is so sad! One of my babies was in the same kind of situation as yours but not nearly as critical. He was just missing some tail and a claw and a little undernourished. I'm so glad you got her! Odds are they probably would have just let the poor thing die.. Its a shame when some pet stores don't take care of their animals or lack the knowledge to properly care for exotic pets.

Yeah owning a pet store would be hard, in most cases the stores do everything they can but seeing how there all buisnesses its necissary to always keep a economical view on things. Therfor the animals never get the care they need, in the ideal situation a pet store will get in a new animal and sell it within a month. I asume Daenarys had been there for over 1 month as that perticular store sold beardies quite young somtimes less then 2 weeks old. Daenarys sure is a fat happy girl now though  She even has her own bowl full of fake coins and fancy stones because every dragon needs treasure to guard 8)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
