Tazzie- rescued and recovering

Hi everyone,
Tazzie (husband calls her the "Dragon Fly" LOL!) has been receiving basic physical therapy exercises in a warm bathtub (Tupperware dish) twice a day. I really believe that the aqua therapy is helping her to improve in the area of muscle strength.
I took her out in the yard today and she likes to walk in the grass. She was really smiley all day and I think it is because she is feeling better. Unfortunately, she did not eat the strawberries on her own but was thrilled when I dropped the strawberries in her mouth.

I'm so pleased to hear that she's enjoying her trips to the "pool" and out into the yard. It's such a treat to hear about her recovery.

She is looking so much better. If you have any clover in the yard, set her in a batch of growing clover. She may be tempted to grab some herself. It's a sweet trick.

I will try the clover idea with Tazzie. She enjoyed hiding in a toad house that we had in the garden. She enjoyed her "toad house" so much that we placed it in her viv. She is sleeping in her toad house tonight.. too funny! Here are some pictures of her in the yard..

Tazzie is doing wonders in her progress. She looks so healthy, and I can barely see the sore on her tail.
That kind of quick healing comes from great care + love.

Yes, Tazzie is making considerable progress. She loves to sleep in until 10 in the morning. :lol: I like to tease her about staying up late reading her emails from her BD boyfriend "Spark". I really appreciate that you have taken such an interest in her progress.

I hope that you are excited about moving to NY state. We have had so much rain this summer.. make sure that you pack your raincoat!

I'm glad that you like the toadhouse pictures. She really made me laugh this morning when she woke up at 11 am, peeked out of the house and then went back in and took a 15 minute nap.

I smile every time I see your signature line with the pictures of all of your angels. Tazzie sends a BIG wave to you and your family.

Hi Kat, guess it's been a while since I checked in on you and Tazzie. I went back to the beginning of this thread and can't believe the huge change in her, she looks absolutely fantastic and so MUCH happier. You're doing a wonderful job with her.

Yes, the aquatic therapy is amazing, great for building up those little muscles, it sure helped Giz when he was having the terrible spasms/twitching years ago.

Her sore is healing great, hard to even see it anymore. That cream did wonders for it.

That toad house is perfect for her. Doesn't sound like it took her very long for her to claim it as "her own." :lol: It's the perfect size for her right now anyway. Love the picture of her head sticking out of it, just too cute. :love5: Bet she was surprised when it ended up in her tank. So, she slept in until 11:00 then decided she needed another short nap in her new house? Guess she wasn't ready to leave it to start her day. :mrgreen:

Thanks SO much for taking her into your home and giving her such wonderful TLC. Her whole body is smiling now.

She hardly looks like the same beardie, what a huge change. :shock: The toad house is wonderful, I'm so glad she found it. You've done such a wonderful job, she just beams all the time. Thanks for the nice notes regarding Tazzie's progress. I have a follow up vet appt for her next week and I am excited to see the difference in her weight. She really likes to walk in the grass outside so she has a few short excursions out to the yard and garden every day.

It was great to read that Sweetie, Angel and Ethelia's Ruben all made progress after they were introduced to the pool 8) I have this funny visual in my head of Deb and Roger's "Sweetie" motoring (love that word!) around the bathtub with a pair of tiny little swim goggles on! LOL!

Her sore is healing nicely and I am sure it is the magical combination of the injections of antibiotics and the the topical cream. This morning Tazzie went to her water dish and actually had a drink on her own. This is a really big accomplishment for her because for the past three weeks, I have had to keep her hydrated using a plastic little tube and plunger (looks like a hypodermic needle but it is all plastic and has a blunt plastic end on the squirting end..) Hopefully, she will begin to eat on her own.

Her progress is remarkable. In another month she'll look kike a different dragon.
I love the toad house, Not just for dragons. Where did you find that? I'd like one for toads and one for dragons. :lol:

i know she will get better and better, she had a will to live even without love, now that she has u and your love there is no way she's giving up, good allways covers bad, pretty soon she won't remember what happened to her all she will know is that u love her so much. it make me so mad and sad that those people did that to her. the world is a better place because of people like u, god bless u sweetie
