Tatsu: Can I join your army?

Dear Tatsu,

After the abuse I have suffered over the last few months, I would like to enlist in your army to help with world domination.

I have always been a very mellow dragon--I've never bitten anyone, I eat my salad, I sometimes poop in the right place, and I rarely complain about anything. I've only black-bearded once because I got scared. I always flash a cute smile and cuddle with my people.

To thank me for my good behavior, my people have resorted to torture--for months!

In September, I decided that it was time to brumate so I casually started to hide. All a dragon wants is a little sleep, you know? Would they let me? No! My people took me out of my cave and kept forcing me into the heat. I should have started biting then, but I was just too sleepy. Besides, I figured I could sneak into the cave when they weren't looking. To add insult to injury, they took away my cave so I couldn't do that either. Then, on top of everything else, they made me drink some yucky medicine because I supposedly had pinworms. Once I got better, they forced me to take more medicine because I supposedly had coccidia. How much torture is one dragon expected to take? I just wanted to sleep.

Well, after months of forced sleep-deprivation and medicine, they finally let me sleep. It was too late at that point. My rage started to build, and I almost contacted you.

Now, the torture has continued even more! I have decided to wake up because I've been feeling a bit amorous, shall we say. You'd think the people would be happy to see me awake. I've been running around, trying to get their attention, but what do they do? They just stand there and watch me. They distract me when I'm working up a black beard and take away my thunder. To top it off, they won't bring me a date! I don't ask for much. Let me sleep when I'm tired, and bring me a woman when I'm awake!

I've had it! I'm fed up! This torture has to stop.

Are you accepting new recruits? We can't allow dragons to suffer in this way!

I may have a slight snag in our plans for the new england region. it seems the human slaves finally finished frillie's new place (which btw, i'm a little jealous-all sorts of things to climb, cool plants, wow!) and he/she seems a little withdrawn since they moved him/her in. i'm not sure we'll have our frilled joining us-i'll have to see if we can pull him/her out of this relocation stress and focus on the task at hand! Also, i believe we are going to have to sneak onto these planes as beardies cannot get passports. We will need to sneak onto the planes in the cargo areas and this will need to be done at night, so rest up! we will need our strength for this!
By taking the red eye we should arrive by morning to rendevous with all of you on time

I request all other Pacific Coast recruits report your status, as we plan to meet at the San Francisco Airport at 11 p.m. on the 14th, to sneak onto planes under the cover of darkness. We are checking to find the best route, SF to New York to Heathrow, and onto the Underground to get us to Big Ben. If you are in South California, Oregon or Washington, let me know so you can meet up in time.

Through the espionage efforts of Big, the largest of the hatchlings, (6 weeks old, 7 &1/2 inches, 18 grams and full of daring) I also wish to add Max at this time, an eight year old dragon who has lulled his slaves into believing he is so old and only wants to sleep. He trains secretly at night and is incredibly clever. Big saw but did not get a chance to speak with the tegu, and reports that the tegu is almost four feet long and very powerful. Max assured Big that he will speak to him and get back to us on his status. The young ones, Gaia and Hob, wish they can come, but they have been great support here, assisting with our training and teaching the hatchlings what they have learned, and both will be added in time. The first and second clutches of Astarte are large and strong, and Big is very impressive. Monet is the longest, but not as heavy as Big, but they are all bright and will be excellent recruits in the future. Uno is showing impressive jumping skills. They are all doing well in learning the basics of espionage. The third clutch is approximately 2 & 1/2 weeks old, and delightfully feisty! They will fight wonderfully when they are old enough.

We are stashing extra silkworms, superworms, hornworms and phoenix worms for supplies to feed our troops, and I will pick whatever fresh strawberries I can find to make sure we are in top spirits for our fight. Some of the slaves are going to the reptile show in Sacremento on the 13th or 14th, so our mind control experts can give them a list of extra supplies we will need. Let me know what else you need us to bring, and we will get it. 'Til Victory!
