Tales of Nero~Nero the Sausage!

Hi all :wave: I've finally decided to share my Nero.After months of lurking :lurk: Nero is about 8 months old and 16 inches long and he is very colorful .I "saved" him from petsmart though i wish I could have gotten one from lllreptiles but they did not have any at the time and i was very impatient to get my beardie! Pics soon if i can find out how to post pics! Nero is a big adventurer and always wants to crawl around on the floor or outside.I'm thinking of taking him to arizona with us in august if my family lets me as they aren't as fond of him as i am :wink: .Nero is actually going through a shed right now and i can't wait till his colors come out! He's getting to be a big boy! :help:

Do you know the person at all?

That's pretty sad ,to wonder every year whether you were gonna have a Christmas or not.
For Christmas I am thinking of getting a sweater,some t-shirts,the new killers album ,various Nero and bird supplies,lots of Nero supplies from Bearded Dragon.co,and maybe some plants .Doesn't sound that exciting to some,but it is very exciting to me .

My dad knows the person. And I am going to see her and look at where my birds will stay before the teils even go into that place. But since she goes to our church (which is awesome) I trust her already.

Well, it wasn't that bad. From a young age mom taught me that Christmas was about the Birth of Christ and not about getting presents. So it wasn't that bad, besides, I get a better feeling when I give something to someone rather than getting. Actually, I have a story from last year. See, my most favorite band, Kutless, came out with their Christmas CD. I had saved up money for it. And when I was ready to order my 25 year old sister wanted a CD. She had called just to chat with me the other day and told me that she wanted a CD. So, I bought the CD that she wanted with the money I saved. Knowing that I would probably get the CD I wanted after Christmas. The feeling I got when she saw that I bought her that CD was priceless. I will never forget it, and I hope I can do something similar this year.
Those presents sound nice. I'm hoping for a new CD, stuff for Nim's new 20 gallon and the new Heroes of Olympus book. Not much but it's good enough for me.

BlueDragon-I am curious,what kinds of plants.I mostly like carnivorous plants and cacti/succulents.They are my life,besides Nero and school and The killers .

Thank you, I thought you would enjoy that story. I wish I could give everybody gifts too, but I don't have much money either. It's hard to get something for my brother and 18 year old sister though. If I gave them money or a gift card for something they are happy. I used to be the one who gave stuffed animals to my siblings. I have stopped that because they have given them back to me. LOL, too old for stuffed animals they say, fine, I just won't get you anything. Of course I still try, but it's hard with those two. Actually, LOL, I want waaaaay more than that. But those are the ones I think we'll be able to afford. I don't have much of a green thumb. I am hoping to have a garden when we move though, but that depends on what we get.

It is pretty hard to get presents for any sibling,you never really know if they will like it our not.But they will probably always appreciate it .Since you don't have much of a green thumb,you could get plants that thrive on neglect.These will not need as much water or care to look good .So you could try looking up cold weather plants that thrive on neglect to see what plants will do good in your zone.Hope that helps .

What is that?The only thing that I can think of is Stapelia (Asclepiadaceae),those are usually called starfish plant.And flies like the horrible smells of their beautiful blooms.

Today I bathed and feed Nero as usual,not very much news as usual.He only ate two Waxworms though,he was not very interested in eating.He was very crazy in his bath though.He splashed water every where,annd when I was all done there was water all over the counter.When I put him back in his vivarium,he ran around like a crazy man.I kinda laughed,them proceeded on with my day.Today was very boring and long though,I didn't have much to do except take a shower,take care of Nero,or go on the computer.I guess I am done rambling about how boring my day was :lol: .

good grief hes huge compared to your hand. Geico will get there some day but hes only 6 months and 228 grams. Cant wait for him to hit 300 grams to see how big he will be. if he had all his tail he would be around 14 1/2 inches so hes getting there.

Since Geico weighs that much,that makes me curious to know how much Nero weighs because Nero is bigger and older than Geico.I really want to weigh him but I don't have a small scale that measures in grams.I will get one for Christmas though hopefully .I have a feeling that Geico will be a very big boy when he grows up though ,he is already on his way with all the good nutrition he is getting from you.
Not much to update on Nero,He got some squash,but he wasn't very hungry for veggies right now.he hasn't pooped in a while and I am starting to get worried,but then again he hasn't been eating as much food,and almost no bugs lately.I am trying to get him to eat more veggies.So when he's hungry he will have to eat them.I am still supplying him with supers and a few waxworm treats though to make sure he doesn't completely starve.
