If you can get some super worms, {probably would work on any of the worms...don't know } you can inject the antibiotic into the worm and immediately feed it to your dragon. I used that method when my dragons had RI's. Then I always followed it with an unmedicated worm just to clear their mouth of any bad taste. It worked very well for me. I read about that method on this forum!
That is a good method, injecting the worm, if you can get her to eat. If not, you can mix the meds with diluted juice or baby food to get it into her.
Is the sliver of wood out of her foot now? I hope it is feeling better now. How is her appetite?
A probiotic just helps balance out their gut flora since it gets imbalanced during rounds of medications. Acidophiliz & benebac are probably the most widely used ones & are dairy free.
Has the swelling gone down at all?
I highly recommend getting her on some probiotics since she is lethargic now. The antibiotic has most likely caused her lack of appetite as they normally do.
If she is not eating, you can try getting some baby food into her, to help her out right now.
If the sliver is not out of her foot yet, I bet you could use some drawing salve like Smile's PRID. I've heard of people using similar stuff on their horses. I think you can get it at WalMart. I'm not sure though! Someone else more knowledgable on beardies would have to okay this method. The salve may or may not be safe for the little guys. Good luck!
That is great news the sliver is out of his foot then. It should hopefully begin to heal up pretty soon. You could soak him in warm water, or mainly his foot to try & help the healing process. Antibiotic ointment would help as well, along with the oral antibiotic.
I hope her foot is feeling better soon.
Did you get the gel or the powder? Normally, if you give the gel, just a small drop or dab is fine. The taste is good so he shouldn't mind the flavor.
If you are using powder, just use a small pinch daily for him. You can mix it with water or juice or his food.
