Fingers and toes crossed for Neato!

Neato saw radiation lady from Columbus on Wednesday. She felt the people at the University of Tennessee would be better for Neato. I feel we wasted a month waiting for her to decide something.

He saw the specialist vet on Friday. He has another mouth infection and a sore on his tongue. The thing on his tongue may be cancer.

We are leaving today to go to Knoxville Tennessee. Neato has a 1:30 Appointment at the University of Tennessee on Monday. I hope they can help him. I am so scared.

Visit at university of Tennessee went good today. He was seen by the exotics vet and the radiation oncologist. They did a needle aspiration on the sore on Neato's tongue and blood work. In the morning they will take off the thing on his tongue if it is believed to be cancer and they will do the strumtuim radiation. They do have to put him under and will do both back to back. They said Neato would come out of the anesthesia in time for us to drive back to ohio in the afternoon. They believe he will only need this one treatment but will need to return for a follow up.

Please keep him in your thoughts. I always worry about anesthesia.

All the people here at the University of Tennessee have been great. At this point I would recommend them to anyone with a sick bearded dragon or bird.

Of course I didn't sleep last night worrying about Neato being anesthetized and whether I am doing the right thing but I always worry and second guess myself.

Wish us luck. Neato should be getting his treatment at 10 am eastern time,

Lynn, its nearly 10 a.m. in Ohio -- if I remember right, TN is an hour behind -- but still, I will be thinking of you guys until I hear an update that he's doing great He is a special baby, he knows you love him with all your heart and are working to make him better. He's a lucky boy to have such wonderful parents! I am hoping for the treatment to work and make him better

That is wonderful to know that there is such a great treatment center, and program to make more new herp vets!!! We need to make Neato a passport with all his travels lately.

Did he ask to see Graceland or The Grand Ole Opry before y'all leave TN ???
