Subtrate

Would using puppy pads for subtrate be okay? They are white so im worried about them hurting her eyes. I could use outdoor carpet if needed but i have almost a whole package left over from before my dog was trained and two fit perfectly in her tank. I will only be using them until they run out if i can get a regular subtrate like she had for her smaller tank but i will go buy suntrate asap if puppy pads are not safe. They are also lavender scented, will this be a problem? She doesnt seem to mind the smell at all.

Please take them out. Scented products are not suitable. No substrate is better than potentially unsafe material.

Just paper towel or newspaper is fine.

Long-term, tile or cork flooring are good options.

Non adhesive shelf liner is a good cheap way to go. Easy clean up & bugs won't get under it.
