What kind of substrate should a uro be on?

I prefer washed playsand....They really like to dig. Make sure you provide it a hide with very low ceiling.

If its under 7 or 8 inches it needs to be on paper towels, tile, or some type of non particle substrate, after theyre big enough playsand or tile. If you use sand make sure everything in the tank sits on the tanks floor, not on top of the sand- they dig alot and could dig under the rocks or decorations and have them fall on top of them.
