My dad just randomly came home with him! He is cutest thing ever, and has tons of chub! He just dived into his salad! :D
Hes 2 years old, 15-17 in. long (has pretty good sized nip) and 442 grams... Dyed from red sand, so I cant see his colors. :D

Will post more details/pics later... I have to babysit! :D

OMG IM SOOOOOO EXCITEDDDDD!!!

OMG they're all so cute! ^^ <3 I think I like Stanley for the new guy too. He's so big! D: I didn't know they get that big. How long do they live?

Wow 15 years old?! That's nuts. He is big too, wow  I didn't know they got that big either!

Everyone's looking good! Glad to see Dud's not afraid of the ramp anymore

Thanks guys! I think I'm going to go with Stanley, but Oliver, Leo (Leopold or Leonardo LOL), Reggie, and Emmett are high on my list now too LOL. :D

But he is already a completely different gecko than before, and I haven't even him him 2 days yet. At the store he was really lethargic, and would army-crawl around in the sand with his eyes closed. One of my co-workers actually thought he was dead!
Now he is exploring everything, walks normally with his eye open, and he will get really excited and come out of his little cave when he sees me. He is very alert and curious.

He still doesn't know what to do with his humid hide though. He just stares at it.

I'm going to try some Saline eye drops on him today, since I heard those were safe.

And I guess they can live 20+ years! So he could definitely live a while longer, since other than the eye he is in really good shape!

I'm glad Dud is awake, but sometimes he can be SO. ANNOYING. Like, when he wakes me up at 7:30 on the weekend by relentlessly throwing himself against the glass doors. And how right now he thinks superworms > roaches.

Daedalus loves superworms too, but damn those things make them gain weight even faster than hornworms I think!

I think I have to sell like, 3/4 of my roach colony, lol. They are SO out of control. Even with Daedalus who loves them that's not enough to keep the population under control. There's so many in there now I don't even have to turn the heat pad on.

Lol I have actually done that before, last time I was cleaning the bin I had all the roaches in a different one. I set Daedalus in there, she mostly just sat in one spot and nabbed the ones that walked in front of her.

LOL Jen, I now have about 200 of them that I'm trying to get rid of from the little batch that you gave me! Those things are insane.

I put an add on CL to see if anyone would trade them for a thermostat for my new gecko. So hopefully they will be gone soon LOL.

I have a juvie leo at the house. She's technically my wife's I guess, but we take care of her together. They are hilarious when they hunt. I do love the tail wag. I actually just recently got into helping a buddy of mine breed them. They are awesome little companions as well. All I had to do with Calypso's (little leo girl) moist hide was to put it in her enclosure. I put it in the middle of the enclosure about halfway onto the heated side. I use a cut soft wash rag inside her moist hide that gets changed / washed every 2 - 3 days. She wandered into the tupperware container and decided she loved it!

Congratulations Jess on the new guy! :D

I had no idea the gecko's lived that long.

Dudlley is looking good! Looks a little sleepy eyed though.

Stella is just to darn cute. :love5:

Congrats on the new addition Jess.
I remember my friend's leo had shed skin stuck to his eye. It got infected and he suffered a lot unfortunately. In the end he passed away because it obstructed his ability to eat and see. :(
I hope all goes well! Glad your lizards are doing fine.

Thanks everyone!!
And Stanley's eye definitely hasn't affected his appetite... He is a piggie! He is eating a roach every night, and he figured out the purpose or his mealie dish too now LOL. I gave him a super worm tonight, and he loved it! It was much easier for him to see compared to the mealworms.
Stanley is devoloping an attitude too now. When I try to pick him up, he flails wildly and does an alligator-like death-roll.

And guess what? Someone bought my extra roaches for $40! :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
