Hi everyone,
It has been ages since I've been on bd.org due to life being busy. I wanted to give you a quick update on Squishy the beardie that is suffering from gout and recovered/ing from MBD as her previous thread in the ER is locked due to inactivity...

Squishy has been doing great! She is still on Allopurinol daily and Metacam oral as needed. She gets 5cc SQ fluids (LRS) every 2-4 days depending on how busy my schedule is and baths every second day. She went to my work for a week in November while I went away as there are a bunch of vet techs and I knew they would be able to medicate her as needed. She came home even perkier than when she went there - she seemed to like it there. She has been the most active this winter (Canada) then all the other winters combined. She had lost some weight just before boarding at my work (down to 370gm) however she is now back up to to a chunky, healthy 390gm and still climbing. I will be taking her back into the vet's probably in January as it has been a while since her last check-up/bloodwork. She is loving her greens these days which were always difficult to get into her so that has been awesome!
She is coming up on 2 years since her original diagnosis so I think she may get a gift of a new tank... She is in a standard 30 gallon tank now (36 x 18 x 15) as she has limited mobility. I think I am going to get her one of the Hagen 36 x 18 x 18 tanks just because it has the front doors and it would make taking her out every day soooo much easier on my part. Unfortunately they don't make one a bit bigger... unless I go taller, which she doesn't need.
