I have been lurking and commenting for awhile and realized I never introduced my babies.

Spyro is 4 months old and growing like a weed. He is full of energy, very curious, and fearless. He loves to torment my daschund. They have stare downs from Spyro's tank. The other day my daschund decided to take Spyro to the living room for play time. Needless to say I wasn't amused when I seen Buddy, the daschund, carrying Spyro! Thank goodness he didn't hurt my baby. Buddy no longer goes near Spyro after that incident.

Before I got Spyro we got Auzzie. Auzzie was a Christmas gift for my 15 year old son. She was sick from the day we got her. I took her to the vet weekly just to make sure she was doing okay. In February, I noticed that she wasn't gaining weight or growing. After another vet visit I find out she has pinworms. She finished the panacur, but still wasn't growing and started losing weight. From there I started feeding her baby food and critical care. She started being more alert and eating a little on her own. On March 11, the vet weighed her and she had gained 2g that week. We were impressed. On the 17th, she started wobbling when she walked. She didn't want to open her eyes and acted lethargic. This was about 6 pm. The next morning I get up and she has crawled up to her stuffed animal. Her breathing was very shallow and it looked like only one lung was functioning. Overnight she looked as if she lost 10g. I immediately wrapped her up and rushed to the vet. She passed away on the way there. I still question myself wondering what I did wrong. Looking back I realized that she was never well and I did everything possible to help her become a healthy, happy beardie.

On March 23, I made the mistake of going to Petco for my dogs some treats. Of course, my son makes a beeline for the beardies. The manager comes by and tells me they just got some new babies in and asked if I wanted to see them. It's bad when they know you in stores. When I go to the back and I am floored at how teeny these babies were. My eyes were drawn to my Ember. She was 4 1/2 in long and weighed 6.9g. I wasn't leaving without her. I have had her for 2 weeks now and tonight she decided to snuggle in my hair and go to sleep. This made my night.

Now I have a Bassett Hound, a daschund, a shih-tzu, two fish, and my two babies!

This is Spyro fighting the wolf. I think he won.

He really wanted to see Ember. I haven't allowed them together.

Will upload Ember's pictures in a few.

I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this site. I have learned so much about beardies from reading the posts.

I am thinking of naming him Taz, since he is so wild. I just measured and weighed him. I was off by 100g. He is just over 19 1/2" and 303.4g. His weight is a shocker. He feels much lighter. What should he weigh for his length? He is about 1 1/2 yrs old. Poor baby doesn't know what to think being wrapped up for bedtime.

Oh gosh, he's so cute! :blob5: :love5: He looks great for not having had the proper lighting, etc. And I love the name Taz, it fits him perfectly!
And gosh, look at that yellow on Toki - she looks gorgeous! Not sure how to upload a video here... I uploaded mine to YouTube first and then just posted the link.

Hehe Taz is a good name =). 303 is better than 200, but still pretty low for an adult. Is he eating on his own?

He ate some veggies (endive, dandelion, mustard, arugula, and butternut squash). They were only giving him crickets on the weekend, if they went to get them. He was also eating dehydrated veggies with them. His weight is a lot better than I thought. Tomorrow, I am going to give him some dubia. Do you have any idea about what weight he should be?

Wow, crickets just once a week? His weight is pretty impressive then! My guess is that he should be at least 425-450 grams at 19.5 inches? The vet said Pushkin is slightly chubby at 420 and 18.5 inches. :)

Thank you! Taz is a mess! He had a tank at his old house, but he was only put in there to sleep. Right now he is sitting in my sons window trying to get outside through the screen. A really good friend of mine is coming by later and has hinted to wanting him.

That's cute. Looks like she's invented a very special game between just the two of you.

Taz (love the name) looks adorable all wrapped up. He does look confused about what he is so comfortable. Let the spoiling begin, right?

Toki is a momma's girl! If I put her on the bed, she makes her way to me pretty fast. The other day I fell asleep while she was on the bed. I woke up and she had burrowed under my arms and napped with me.

Taz is a nut! Last night, I out him to bed around 9pm. At 1am I went in to check on him and he was wide awake! I then realized that I forgot to take his salad bowl out. The little devil had woke up and ate the entire bowl! I was worried about him eating and not digesting his food, so I had to turn his lights on. I only left them on for an hour then I wrapped him up and had to hold him until 4am before he would go to sleep! This morning he woke up at 8am. I fed him salad at 9am and he has since eaten 2 huge salads, and it's not even noon! I have no idea if I should limit his food since he is underweight. I am limiting his protein since he isn't used to getting much.

Ember, aka Budda, is looking at me wanting more salad! He also is starting to head bob. No black beards, yet.....

Spyro was up right before his lights came on this morning. I got a few morning snuggles from him before he wanted to act like the Roadrunner all around the house.

Now I am going to try and take a short nap before I go get my son a HUGE surprise at 4pm today. :blob5: Will post pictures when I get home with it. Now that I know how to post videos I am going to get one of Taz, showing how wild he is!

Wow, I am seeing what a circus having two dragons is - I don't know how you are managing with four! I love that they all have their own unique personalities too! :D
I am so curious about this surprise you mentioned!

So this isn't a bearded dragon, but it starts with a "B". Meet Riley the Bassett Hound!!! She is 8 months old and was going to be surrendered to a rescue group. My son seen her and fell in love. The lady drove almost an hour to bring her to us. Now my son is happy and no longer wants a malamute!! 8)

Thank you! Yes, my house is overflowing with animals! My son really wanted a malamute, but he decided he didn't want a huge dog.

Taz did much better this afternoon. He had a massive blowout in his tank. We took his entire set up outside to clean. :puke: He'll be at the vet Monday for a check-up. I am pretty sure he has some parasites because his poop reeks! What concerns me is him taking medicine. He is so thin and I am worried his system won't be able to handle it. :( On a positive note, my friend really wants him. I told her that once he is healthy I will rehome him with her. I will be able to see him anytime and be very well cared for. It will be a few weeks at least before this can happen though.

Toki is hilarious. My son had her out earlier while I was napping. He walked past the couch with her and she jumped off him and ran to my neck to snuggle! I love her soo much!

Ember has been grumpy today. He is probably pouting because I haven't had him out much in the past few days. He isn't spoiled at all.

Spyro is breathing through his mouth a lot the last few days. There isn't any mucus in his mouth. I pray it isn't a RI.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
