I have been lurking and commenting for awhile and realized I never introduced my babies.

Spyro is 4 months old and growing like a weed. He is full of energy, very curious, and fearless. He loves to torment my daschund. They have stare downs from Spyro's tank. The other day my daschund decided to take Spyro to the living room for play time. Needless to say I wasn't amused when I seen Buddy, the daschund, carrying Spyro! Thank goodness he didn't hurt my baby. Buddy no longer goes near Spyro after that incident.

Before I got Spyro we got Auzzie. Auzzie was a Christmas gift for my 15 year old son. She was sick from the day we got her. I took her to the vet weekly just to make sure she was doing okay. In February, I noticed that she wasn't gaining weight or growing. After another vet visit I find out she has pinworms. She finished the panacur, but still wasn't growing and started losing weight. From there I started feeding her baby food and critical care. She started being more alert and eating a little on her own. On March 11, the vet weighed her and she had gained 2g that week. We were impressed. On the 17th, she started wobbling when she walked. She didn't want to open her eyes and acted lethargic. This was about 6 pm. The next morning I get up and she has crawled up to her stuffed animal. Her breathing was very shallow and it looked like only one lung was functioning. Overnight she looked as if she lost 10g. I immediately wrapped her up and rushed to the vet. She passed away on the way there. I still question myself wondering what I did wrong. Looking back I realized that she was never well and I did everything possible to help her become a healthy, happy beardie.

On March 23, I made the mistake of going to Petco for my dogs some treats. Of course, my son makes a beeline for the beardies. The manager comes by and tells me they just got some new babies in and asked if I wanted to see them. It's bad when they know you in stores. When I go to the back and I am floored at how teeny these babies were. My eyes were drawn to my Ember. She was 4 1/2 in long and weighed 6.9g. I wasn't leaving without her. I have had her for 2 weeks now and tonight she decided to snuggle in my hair and go to sleep. This made my night.

Now I have a Bassett Hound, a daschund, a shih-tzu, two fish, and my two babies!

This is Spyro fighting the wolf. I think he won.

He really wanted to see Ember. I haven't allowed them together.

Will upload Ember's pictures in a few.

I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this site. I have learned so much about beardies from reading the posts.

I love Ruffles!!!! I hate to change her name but the guy I got her from didn't have her long. He said he named him that because he couldn't think of anything else. Taz didn't have a name when I got him. Taz is short for Tasmanian Devil! He is so wild, the name is perfect for him. So now I have 3 boys and 3 girls!

Scarlett is growing! She is still skittish at times. I think she gets all her energy from eating so much! At night when I'm putting her to bed she pretends to be asleep, then darts out of the blanket and stares me down! Her coloring is pretty. I have no idea what her colors are going to end up being. Both her parents are citrus, so I'm assuming she'll be the same. Her coloring is very similar to Ember's when he was that size.

This forum has been so helpful! I have learned so much about how to properly care for these wonderful creatures. I've noticed more and more that people wait until it's almost to late to ask for help. If your child, dog, or cat was ill you wouldn't wait to seek treatment, so why do people wait when it comes to bearded dragons? :banghead:

On to better things....

All of my sweet babies are doing wonderful. Toki and Rufus (I tried calling her other names but we kept going back to Rufus) are still sleeping the days and nights away. Taz has been waking between 12-2 lately. I let him warm up then give him some food. He is starting to fill out some. Poor baby was so skinny when I got him. His poop is finally normal. He had been treated for a heavy load of pinworms when I got him. He is finally heading in the right direction!

Spyro has been so goofy lately. He stays in bed about 1-2 days a week. He is eating well and putting on some weigh after his food strike.

Ember is a messy pig! He loves to sling his greens all over his tank! Everyday I have to vacuum his tank to get all the pieces up. He is so heavy that his hammock keeps falling. I tried a heavy duty suction cup with no success. Poor baby keeps falling out of it. Good thing it's only a 2-3 inch fall.

Scarlett weighs 23.3g and 8 inches long. She is getting ready to shed again. Today I was able to let her explore a little.

Hiya, my name is Jess. I'm a return owner :) I just wanted to say that your beardies are lovely. What's it like having so many darlings? I only have Mushu, but eventually I want several. Nice to meet you!

All my munchkins are doing well. I attempted to weigh all of them today, except for Rufus since she's still snoozing. Ember and Toki are too fat for my scale! I know that they are both over 500g since that's the scales limit. Guess I'll be going to get a new one. Still need to get their lengths but I'll try that tomorrow.

Spyro- 323g
Ember- too fat for scale
Toki- also too fat for scale
Taz- 377g
Rufus- :sleepy2:
Scarlett- 41g

Scarlett is the sweetest little girl. She has warmed up so much. I've been able to let her explore some and she loves to be held. When I reach in to pet her she climbs on my hand. She has even been letting my son hold her. Montana, the malamute, loves to sit on my sons bed and watch her through the glass. It doesn't stress her at all.

We are getting 2 new additions to our house the first weekend in December. Montana, our malamute, needs a playmate. Our other dogs are older and don't want to play with him. So we decided to get another malamute for him to play with. My son and I couldn't agree on which one to get so we decided on 2! Chenzo is Montana's age. He was going to be a breeder but the lady is giving him to my son because she thinks my kid is awesome!! Indigo is 7 weeks old and is the cutest little thing.

Absolutely LOVE that 1st picture of Scarlett. Would be perfect for the calendar next year. :p Her patterns & colors are awesome.

Those fuzzy faces are just the sweetest. Bet you can't wait to get them! Did Montana succeed in getting Santa's beard off?

Thank you! Scarlett looks like Ember, except she's a leatherback, when he was teeny. I'm thinking she is going to have his colors (orange/yellow).

Oh how I wish he would have got Santas beard off! Santa backed away before Montana could. I couldn't stop laughing. I wanted to take Toki and Ember but it was only 60 that day. :( Their faces are so cute but they do love getting into trouble. I grew up with Rottweilers but I am learning that malamutes are more stubborn. Montana gets into everything if I don't have his toys scattered all over. My yard has holes everywhere. We do love him though!

Thanks y'all!

I guess needing a new scale means im doing something right with 2 of my munchkins! Haha

Scarlett is hilarious. She keeps me laughing. I took her outside for a few minutes today since it was warm. She perked up for a minute then decided she had enough and burrowed in my hand. She shed one of her legs today and its bright orange. I'll have to get some new pics tomorrow.

This weather is messing with my babies. Last week it was cold and raining. This week it's quite warm and sunny. My babies don't know if they want to wake up or stay in bed.

Spyro has been quite the punk lately. He is slinging his veggies all over his tank and painting his tank with poop! Usually he will only poop in the bath but not the past few days! My mom said he is doing it so he gets to come out and play! Silly boy!

Ember is a mess. His black beard is quite impressive, it goes down his front legs. He loves to show off for Toki. I've noticed he isn't eating as much but he is still my biggest dragon.

Toki is a tease! She is in the living room with Spyro and Ember. There is about 6" of her tank that is visable to the boys and she loves to go there and head bob the boys real slow. :banghead: When I have her out she makes a mad dash towards Embers tank. Tomorrow she is moving into my sons room and Taz is coming into the living room. That's all I need is her laying eggs. At night she refuses to go to sleep unless I let her fall asleep on my chest. She will sit in her dark tank staring at me if I don't hold her. She isn't spoiled at all!

Taz is doing great! He is another one that hates bedtime. His lights go out at 8pm and he refuses to go to bed until around 9ish. I am still giving him live feeders everyday to get his weight up. This sweet boy will eat anything I offer him. We discovered he LOvES blueberries and bananas. He also goes nuts for dubia so I started feeding him them instead of super worms.

Rufus is still snoozing away. I've been waking her every 4-5 days for a bath. She is so dang grumpy when I wake her. When my son woke her last week she hissed at him! I couldn't stop laughing!

Scarlett is still my piglet. She eats so much it's crazy. I have to refill her salad around 2 and she eats everything! Last week she went through 400 large phoenix worms and all the small dubias my colony had. She is so feisty and has the funniest personality! I really enjoy watching her.

This weekend my son and I will be driving to Knoxville, TN to pick up our 2 new malamute puppies! We are so excited! I made sure all my dragons tanks are secure so nothing happens to them since malamutes have a really high prey drive.

The new pups are hilarious! I drove 14 hours round trip to pick them up. I have tons of pictures to upload of them. I had to have emergency surgery Monday morning to have a cyst removed off my lower back that had grown 4x in size since Friday. Home now but in a lot of pain. How are your babies doing?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
