I have been lurking and commenting for awhile and realized I never introduced my babies.

Spyro is 4 months old and growing like a weed. He is full of energy, very curious, and fearless. He loves to torment my daschund. They have stare downs from Spyro's tank. The other day my daschund decided to take Spyro to the living room for play time. Needless to say I wasn't amused when I seen Buddy, the daschund, carrying Spyro! Thank goodness he didn't hurt my baby. Buddy no longer goes near Spyro after that incident.

Before I got Spyro we got Auzzie. Auzzie was a Christmas gift for my 15 year old son. She was sick from the day we got her. I took her to the vet weekly just to make sure she was doing okay. In February, I noticed that she wasn't gaining weight or growing. After another vet visit I find out she has pinworms. She finished the panacur, but still wasn't growing and started losing weight. From there I started feeding her baby food and critical care. She started being more alert and eating a little on her own. On March 11, the vet weighed her and she had gained 2g that week. We were impressed. On the 17th, she started wobbling when she walked. She didn't want to open her eyes and acted lethargic. This was about 6 pm. The next morning I get up and she has crawled up to her stuffed animal. Her breathing was very shallow and it looked like only one lung was functioning. Overnight she looked as if she lost 10g. I immediately wrapped her up and rushed to the vet. She passed away on the way there. I still question myself wondering what I did wrong. Looking back I realized that she was never well and I did everything possible to help her become a healthy, happy beardie.

On March 23, I made the mistake of going to Petco for my dogs some treats. Of course, my son makes a beeline for the beardies. The manager comes by and tells me they just got some new babies in and asked if I wanted to see them. It's bad when they know you in stores. When I go to the back and I am floored at how teeny these babies were. My eyes were drawn to my Ember. She was 4 1/2 in long and weighed 6.9g. I wasn't leaving without her. I have had her for 2 weeks now and tonight she decided to snuggle in my hair and go to sleep. This made my night.

Now I have a Bassett Hound, a daschund, a shih-tzu, two fish, and my two babies!

This is Spyro fighting the wolf. I think he won.

He really wanted to see Ember. I haven't allowed them together.

Will upload Ember's pictures in a few.

I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this site. I have learned so much about beardies from reading the posts.

Haha! Yes, a pumpkin will be adorable!

This morning I woke Toki, Taz, and Rufus. All three had tons of energy! Once they warmed up I gave them some greens and 5 supers. Then it was time for baths. My son and I took turns bathing everyone and cleaning the tanks while they were in the bath. Toki was the only one that pooped so Taz and Rufus will have to keep waking until they go. I need to get a good picture of Rufus. I really think Rufus may be a girl.

Ember and Scarlett didn't wake up until about 10:30 this morning. Guess they were tired from staying up late last night. Spyro stayed asleep all day, so I only had 5 dragons to take care of. Scarlett is still my little pig. She loves her food, packing away about 60 phoenix worms a day. Ember didn't eat much, he was worried about Toki. He can't see her, but it's hilarious because he knows when she is awake!

My son and I went to pick up my order from Ghanns. I got well over 1000 supers for $23. Usually I buy 500 at a time, but it was only a couple of dollars more for 1000. I had to get a larger bin to keep them in, because my other bin wasn't even close to big enough. I picked up more phoenix worms for Scarlett, since she is eating like a champ.

I didn't get any pictures of Toki today :( but I did of the others.

Scarlett in action. Her face is hilarious

Look at those pretty dragons!! Love Ember's black beard!!!! And the look on Scarlett's face!!!! Num-num!!!

I noticed the on the Phoenix worms you were feeding that there is their bedding residue on them. I'm guessing it's ok to feed them to the babies with that stuff?? I've always used crix so this is new to me. I've been dipping them in water and placing them on a paper towel to dry then feed them. Boy if I could eliminate a step that would be great!!!

I think you should be ok on feeders for a bit. You are lucky you are close to a supplier.

Most of the bedding falls off. Everything I've read said it was okay. Usually I tap the a lot of the bedding off before I put in her dish (candle top). I used to drop them in water, then dry them but it took forever. I hope it's okay! I couldn't stand the way crickets smelled. I tried them when I first got beardies but a few always managed to escape!

Ember's black beard spreads down his legs. I took this picture before it started spreading. He can turn if on and off fast.

Toki and Rufus decided that being awake for a day was more than they could handle, so they both stayed asleep all day.

Taz decided that being awake meant FOOD! He woke up at 8am pacing. I fed him a big salad and 10 medium dubia around 9am. He didn't waste anytime eating. I refilled his salad around 2p and gave him 5 supers. I'm just glad he is waking now. He is still underweight, so keeping him awake and eating is a good thing.

Spyro woke up today. He has such a big personality. He loves to head bob at everything. I turned the ceiling fan down some and he was not a happy dragon! The fan must be off or on high or he freaks out! He is still eating good, which makes me so happy!

Ember stayed in bed until noon, then slid out to his basking spot. He didn't eat much today. I think he was preoccupied watching to see if Toki was going to make an appearance .

Scarlett is still eating like a champ! She loves her salad. I always offer different foods for variety and she will taste everything. Her face is starting to shed and her back is getting there. She is growing so fast. Tomorrow I am going to attempt to weigh and measure her. When I get her out for a few minutes in the afternoon she will stay real close to me, climbing all over my arms and shirt. As soon as I try to put her up she makes a run for it!

Toki, Taz, and Rufus are still snoozing......

Spyro is such a goofball. I've spoiled him so much he won't go to bed unless I wrap him up in his fleece blanket. His lights stay on 30 minutes longer than everyone elses because he gets a burst of energy when it's bedtime. He is still eating good. I offer him phoenix worms, superworms, and dubia everyday. He will usually eat a little of all three with his salad.

Ember has been waking up later than usual and going to bed earlier. He is still eating good, so no worries. Today, we are going to a costume contest. I made him a devil and shark costume. My malamute, Montana, has matching costumes! I'm going to take lots of pictures. It's going to be in the low 80s so I have a blanket and heat pack for him just in case. I was hoping Toki was awake so I could take her too.

Scarlett is busting out! She started shedding her face and legs. Poor baby! No wonder she has been so grumpy. I gave her a long soak and she loved having water dripped on her. After her bath, I held her for a few and she kept climbing on my head. Scarlett reminds me of Ember when he was little.

Aw....poor little Scarlett. She'll feel better soon!! Too funny she likes your head like Ember did!! Im too afraid to let Fionna go like that. She's so little. Your brave letting Scarlett climb around!!

Look at Ember in that costume!!! I LOVE IT!!!! And matching outfits....that's great!! Good luck at the contest. Let me know if you win!!!! I'm sure your babies will get lots of attention!!!

Thank you! It'll be fun even if we don't win. It's cool today so I packed his blanket and a hand warmer to keep him warm.

I've had Scarlett a few weeks now so she is getting easier to handle. When I have her out I close the door and put a blanket in front of the door. She stays close to me. A few times she has went to the edge of the bed and turns right back to me.

Here is Ember's devil costume. It has Velcro to hold the wings on. My mom couldn't stop laughing when I out it on him. He perked his head up and had the funniest look.

Everyone was up today, except Spyro.

Spyro has been eating great. I took him to Home Depot this week and he really enjoyed the attention. His favorite thing to do the past few days is to sit by Scarlett's tank and watch her. She doesn't pay him any attention.

Ember is slowing down. He wakes up when the lights come on. He sits on his basking spot and sleeps. At night he won't go to sleep unless I hold him. He isn't spoiled at all.

Toki is a mess! She was wild today. After her bath I let her run around a bit. I've never seen her move so fast, usually she is super calm and laid back. She jumped from the bed to my son and climbed down his leg trying to get on the floor. I put her back in her tank and she looked like she was pouting. Around 6 I got her out and had her on the couch with me. She burrowed behind me and went to sleep.

Taz has been waking up at random times all week. He is such a goof ball when I let him roam. Since he is missing a foot, he hops everywhere. He can move fast! When I got him he was really underweight. Now I can tell he is starting to fill out. I can't wait to see him with a belly.

Rufus has been showing some aggression lately. When I was bathing him this week he hissed! I was dripping water over his nose and I guess he didn't like that! I spent some extra time with him today. He watched some tv with me and was really calm. Maybe it's the baths that he doesn't like.

Scarlett is still me sweet little nugget. She can pack away some food. I always offer her greens before live food in the morning. She will eat a few pieces then look around for her bowl of worms. She eats 30-40 phoenix worms and 30-40 dubia a day! I love her chunky belly.

Just a few pictures of my munchkins

After a lot of doubts I found out Rufus is a girl. Should I change her name to something more girly? Maybe Rufusa? I'm now debating whether I should move Taz into the living room with Ember and Spyro. If I did this then the boys would be in the living room and all the girls would be in my sons room. Now I have to change the design of the custom tanks again. :banghead: I'm not changing them again!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
