Spyro..a very sad tale..pics 12/7

OK long story ...shortened version coming up...

Went to the pet shop to collect my bug order and the owner asked if we would be able to help out with a beardie.. :roll: already got scamp from him(see other post)

Basically he had come in that morning and the smallest of 7 that he has for sale was in a bad way. It was curled up with his head near about upside down. :shock:

When I took acloser look it was obvious that he had been attacked by one of the larger babies..there were teeth marks in the top of the head, on his beard his eye was swollen and one side of the lip was drooping. As if that wasn't bad enough it also had this neck injury (which has now been confirmed as a whiplash like injury). He was cold black and in shock so we took him home, managed to get him to drink a few drops of water, also eat some apple baby food and settled him in the viv for the night.

THis morning it seemed to be a bit brighter and was actually lifting his head on his own 8)
Ate more baby food had a bath and has been basking doesn't want to chew crickets at the moment. Below are a few pictures everyone keep there fingers crossed it makes it

Well unfortunately we lost Crooke this week he was quite poorly ... he had an enlarged liver and gastric ulcers from the worms that just weren't going even with vet treatment...So we still only got 6

Forgot to say Spyro is 6 inches long and 7grams in weight and supposedly 12 weeks old

Is the damage to the neck serious?

It is muscle damage but as he is eating the baby food and drinking water he seems to be getting stronger all the time all he did yesterday was lie in a curled up position like a C today it is just his neck and even that is definitely straighter than yesterday.
He is sleeping on a teddy bear at night and he is voluntarily laying his head so that it is straight 8)
So hopefully he makes a full recovery.

Awwwwww, sweet little guy!!! Best of luck with him, he does look better!! Keep up the good work....Have you named him yet? How about Crick? Since he has a crick in his neck!!!
BTW I'm sooo sorry to hear about Crooke...

I named him Spyro as he looked like a spiral when you picked him up...Crick was a bit too similar to Crooke

Thanks everyone, he wont eat live food at the moment. He is lapping up apple babyfood and a little bit of probiotic yoghurt. :?

When you put live food near him he cowers away from it so I am wondering if he got attacked whilst chasing food in the viv??
