Sometimes keep eyes closed

Do baby dragons get tried cause one of my baby dragons lays on platform with eyes closed for limitof times. They look good and seem to only eat waxworms and greens.

how long at a time does it close its eyes? and what kind of UVB bulb are you using?

Like the previous post questioned : What kind of UVB lighting do you have ? A reptisun tube or compact or a mercury vapor bulb? What are their temperatures usually at by its basking spot? Have you been dusting his or her food ? Bearded dragons should be active and My baby just last week was not very active at all ( staying in one spot the whole day ) and closing his eyes every once in a while untill i started taking him out in the sun on my shoulder for 30 minutes a day ( not in his glass aquarium because it can bake them and become to hott ). I also changed his UVB bulb from a reptisun 10.0 tube to a Powersun Mercury Vapor Bulb 160 watts (because we have a 40 gallon tank for him ) and his activity level changed after couple of days ! He never shuts his eyes anymore and everytime i go in the room to check on him or to get something (since hes in our bedroom) he's in a different spot or eating his vegitables...

I am using reptisun 10.0 for the two of them and the temps are 105-122 at different times. I dont dust calcium cause i feed the crickets with a flukers calcium for crickets i only dust twice a week with vitamins and calcium once daily with d3 but very small amounts cause i use the flukers thingy.

I had the same problem ... I know everyone on here recomends reptisun 10.0 (which is why i bought my in the beginning) but I took my baby to the vet and the vet recomended a Powersun 160 watt mercury vapor bulb for his tank which is 40 gallons... with the Powersun it puts out UVA and UVB at the same time so you only have to use one bulb, not a reptisun10.0 AND a bulb... I was a little skeptacal at first because of what some people said about them but I SWEAR that he started moving around a ton in his tank and started eating more and NEVER closes his eyes now ! Its a HUGE improvement than before. I'd try it... give it a shot... If it doesnt work, then just keep the box and your reciept and return it !

The Powersun 160 MVB was recommended by my breeder who has done tests with her UVB meter and found them to be the best MVB out there.. So that is what I use for my baby now, And I really like it..

Also, mOmmy2010.. did you ever get that rock wall background? I have it saved in my favorites, and I want to order it, but wanted to see how it looks...

If its the exo terra rock background yea it looks pretty neat my dragon trys to climb it but fails. I have a powersun 100 watt but am afraid to use it over my 20 gal or my tank 18" by 18" by 18". I dont really no how hot it gets my temps are decent by always different.
