that stinks for both of you. Their bites really do hurt - I almost had the tip of my finger removed by one of our beardies: it was a feeding accident. You've got a long way to go with him. :shock: Chief bit my pants a few days ago when I was holding Papa Smurf. He just went up and BIT my pants in anger. :?

This is scary! You almost lost the tip of your finger?? My new baby beardie that I've had for about 3 weeks is moderately aggressive. I'm only able to hold him/her by turning off the basking lamp and cooling the terrarium down enough so that he doesn't have the energy to fight me. When I was a kid I would spray lizards with cold water so that they couldn't move and walk up and grab them so that's what gave me the idea to cool off the tank lol.

But anyways... I'm raising this dragon with my 3 year old daughter and I want them to be good friends. I am having another baby in a few days so that'll be two girls that he has to befriend! I don't want to worry about them losing a finger...

No, it's really rare for a beardie to bite your finger. LOL. This was my fault, really. Our big male had just come out of brumation and I was trying to get him to get back into eating and I was prying his mouth open and feeding silkworms, and he chomped down on the very tip of my finger. :shock: :? It really was my fault. I don't want to give anyone the impression that beardies go around amputating fingers left and right like mini Godzillas.
