Yes, thank you, I will not get another dragon until I make sure I can take it on and I will not take this lightly, I have acually figured out several thing since my babies hatched that I didn't know about, all I can say is I will research it till I pass out, thanks for putting my head on straight! I appreciate that alot.
You've come a long way H2, you saw that as advice not an attack.
I know beardies are addicting, this is my first season breeding as well. I would suggest that you stick with the girls you have already and if planning new projects, plan for 2 years down the road.
I am taking on a couple new dragons for breeding, but I'm getting new babies. I traded a baby and a fake rock hide at a show yesterday for a beautiful 4 month old female with amazing genetics (rich beasley/ california citrus lines), she will be bred to a male from my first clutch . I also was given a 3 month old blood/ chris allen red female by a breeder friend of mine, (kind of a bonus for building his reptile room), not sure about her plans yet as she is my males neice, and babies' cousin. However, I have a couple years to figure it out.
Going this route, makes taking care of your new additions eaiser to manage as you are equipped to house babies. Just make sure you to remember to try, if possible, to find homes for 4-5 babies before getting a new one. One other benefit is baby's are much cheaper than adult/ proven breeder dragons (I know you know that, I'm just saying) which comes in very handy when shopping for good bloodlines.
I don't know how you plan on finding homes for your poopers but to warn you, most expo customers are leary of new vendors for a couple months, and it only takes one yoo-hoo to show up with 50 or so $20 dragons, or every other vendor to have dragons to kill your sales completely. Not that you are gauranteed to sell anything anyways, and if only selling dragons, you can only sell to someone who wants a dragon.
Just a little heads up on the expo route.
Hope this helps you.
