Would that be a good match up? I am looking to get two new beardies and I am trying to find a steady genetic Line with very little inbreeding, I was going to go with a trans and a leather but lots and lots
of inbreeding was done to make them so that's out. Thanks

type bearded dragon genetics into google
the 1st link that comes up is what your looking for.
Dude you have to start putting more effort into this if you want to be taken seriously. I know you only 12, but you got to stop spinning in diff directions
Pick one and work it from every angle you can till you know it in your sleep. Google it, search it read everything about it you can find. Then start asking questions.
Compare what you read to what you hear. If you truly want to continue breeding and you want to be taken seriously you are going to have to work harder than an adult. Please read what im typeing carefully. Dont see it as an attack. If your going to continue what your doing do it right.

Agreed. Also, make sure you can sell the several clutches you already have before trying to make more. It would really suck to get stuck with a ton dragons that aren't selling and having to feed them all for longer than you initially planned. Mom's pocket book wouldn't be too happy about that...

You've come a long way H2, you saw that as advice not an attack.

I know beardies are addicting, this is my first season breeding as well. I would suggest that you stick with the girls you have already and if planning new projects, plan for 2 years down the road.

I am taking on a couple new dragons for breeding, but I'm getting new babies. I traded a baby and a fake rock hide at a show yesterday for a beautiful 4 month old female with amazing genetics (rich beasley/ california citrus lines), she will be bred to a male from my first clutch . I also was given a 3 month old blood/ chris allen red female by a breeder friend of mine, (kind of a bonus for building his reptile room), not sure about her plans yet as she is my males neice, and babies' cousin. However, I have a couple years to figure it out.

Going this route, makes taking care of your new additions eaiser to manage as you are equipped to house babies. Just make sure you to remember to try, if possible, to find homes for 4-5 babies before getting a new one. One other benefit is baby's are much cheaper than adult/ proven breeder dragons (I know you know that, I'm just saying) which comes in very handy when shopping for good bloodlines.

I don't know how you plan on finding homes for your poopers but to warn you, most expo customers are leary of new vendors for a couple months, and it only takes one yoo-hoo to show up with 50 or so $20 dragons, or every other vendor to have dragons to kill your sales completely. Not that you are gauranteed to sell anything anyways, and if only selling dragons, you can only sell to someone who wants a dragon.
Just a little heads up on the expo route.

Hope this helps you.

Yes, thank you, but there is like a back order of beardies alll around me in stores and there is very little breeders at the reptile show so I think I should be fine, but that is a great idea, about waiting till you get room and setup for all the babies. I think I will do that.

Yes--but how do you KNOW that these babies will be well cared for in the stores, and then will go to responsible homes!? and not end up on Craigslist in a few months sick and skinny and neglected?

I don't think that anybody could ever "know" that. I think the responsibility of the breeder is to properly care for babies until he/she releases them to the new owner with suggested proper care and husbandry techniques. After that, the breeder's responsibility ends.

I know that they will be properly cared for because I live next to my uncles pet shop, and I go in there everyday. So far I haven't had any problems.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
