Wow! Absolutely loved the pictures and reading this whole journey! You have such an exciting life! Sooo jealous of all the babies. My bf and I are looking to breed his female beardie next year. Any advice? Also do you still have a couple babies left that you're looking to sell? They look absolutely adorable!

I have 16 left. I would say make sure she lays her first slugs before breeding her so you know she's absolutely ready and fully developed. At least 18 months old. Slugs= infertile eggs. Also be prepared to not earn any money as the money you earn from selling goes right back into feeding what is leftover. You will always have to be cautious and feed babies 3 times a day to prevent tail nips and be able to split them when you have a nipper. I have a couple of gorgeous leatherback males left :D I can post pics and prices I suppose in the for sale forum.

Time for an update. Everyone is pretty much sleeping as far as the adults go....I felt maybe I should update on the growth of my beardie family!

I decided to keep this beautiful boy from the first clutch and I named him Apollo.

My mother, bless her heart, won a leatherback bearded dragon at a reptile auction and of course who is taking care of him? Muah! He is a feisty red male that will hopefully produce a beautiful set of babies with Miss. Pumpkin this season if Pumpkin decides to be a mommy (she skipped out last year). I also plan to use them with Saucey when she is ready.

I also have a double het Belgium leatherback that I picked up from the show. When I purchased her she was much prettier than she is now...She is also considered a fire tiger...I bought her from a breeder called down under dragons. They are based out of California. I also do not have a name for her so suggestions would be awesome!

When I first got her. ^^^

This is what she looks like now. Lighting isn't so good in my living room.

I also traded a baby of mine for another baby from gilliesexotics. She was a beautiful fire engine red and I was thinking about calling her saucey. However, she faded out and has become a dull red color. I want to produce with her at least one clutch to see if those reds will come out in the babies and yes I am mixing her with handsome Drago.

Congrats on the new babies, and cute pics of your adults. I have 2 brumating. Rubio's been out for 2 mo, don't expect to see him for awhile. Didi is an up and downer, he was out for 3 wks, up for a week, down for a week, then hew as up again for a week and now he's sleeping again. Leo is just lazy, he just flops into a spot & stays there for the day. Lonzo will be 10 in April, boy time sure flies, he's doing well but not allowed to sleep this winter as his right lung doesn't function much, so thought it safer. And Gabriel, my 2 yr old, spends all his outside time trying to get out of the living room, has managed it twice and just manged to climb the sofa, so he's back in his tank.

Your beardies are all precious, hope you get some stackers soon, Drago doesn't look small enough for a 20 gallon, he's getting big! Did you manage to sell off the babies that were left last time you posted?

Thanks for the update!

I have two babies left. Someone picked up two girls today. They had them reserved since before Christmas they just needed to find a day that worked for everyone. The lived about 4 hours from me and didn't want to risk shipping. Drago barely fits in that 20 but he has been imitating his elders and trying to brumate. not eating much hanging out on a log. I might take out one of the older dragons and let them sleep in the 20 and let Drago have free range in a 40 for a month or so. I just have too many and not enough tanks! a problem I think many get into. I hope mine live 10 years or longer that's awesome! Pumpkin is about 5 and I have had her 2 years )someone claimed she was around 3) and Pip and Zippy will be 3 in February and April this year (its sad Pip usually sleeps for her birthday) my second oldest and Azura and Percius will be hitting the 2 mark. Azura laid eggs earlier than I thought she would but she had beautiful babies. I am excited for this season not sure what will come of it I was hoping I would have a bigger space for all this by now but that's where life throws ya.

It doesn't take long to not have enough space, loved all the pics, your dragons are beautiful. How old is Draco? Lonzo is still full of energy and I hope I have him for many more years. He still likes to run around in the living room, up and down the ramp, he's just in winter slow down mode. But come the spring he'll be running around more. He's the oldest, Didi is 6, Leo is 6, Rubio is 4 1/2 & Gabriel is 2, so I have alot more years with them all. Spring time here is just so hormonal, having 5 boys, it's crazy! Sometimes I think they're going to bob their heads off.

Glad you were able to sell two of your babies, and only 2 left. You've done well. I just love when you post pics of your babies, wish I could take on more, but really have no more room!

And he sure is a big 8 mo older. Switching tanks with a sleeping adult will probably help & I think it's Petco that's having it's $1/gallon sale right now until Sunday, if that helps. I know it's a yearly sale, just don't know if you'd have the room, but wanted to let you know, just in case.

yeah I knew about it and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy two more 40's when I don't have the space and they would just be resold anyway. I am going to look for one on Sunday or something on sunday at the expo.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
