I think people use them and they are supposed to be good but I have no idea about breeding

In my opinion, there is no better feeder than Silkworms. They have more protein than any other feeder, have a proper calcium:phosphorus ratio, and contain a lot of moisture to help your dragons stay properly hydrated. They also produce the enzyme Serrapeptase, which acts as a natural Anti-Inflammatory, aids in calcium absorption, and cleanses the liver and blood.

Raising silkworms eggs is not difficult, but is very time-consuming. However, breeding them can be kind of tricky. You have to morph them into moths, then breed the moths. It's a messy, confusing process. I find the easiest thing is to buy the eggs and hatch them yourself.

Where do you buy silkworm eggs?
I am attempting to hatch silkworm eggs at the moment. I got mine from Coastal Silkworm (East), since I am in Florida. I have heard good reviews with Mulberry Farm, but they are too far away from me. I need fast shipping since our weather is so hot. My dragon loves the silkworms!!

You should please post a tutorial about your progress and raising them from hatch.
How much did eggs cost? What environment do they thrive in? How many eggs. So many questions..

This is my first attempt at hatching silkworm eggs. I got mine from CoastalSilkworms. You can get cost, and info on there website. They come in a petri dish glued down. I got mine 7 days ago, and placed the dish in an incubator at 83 degrees. This morning I see that roughly 10 have hatched. They are crawling around, and look like tiny black threads. I added a few crumbs of chow away from the unhatched eggs, so they can begin feeding. We will see what happens next. :)

Who cares lol. Make pictures. Showing the steps. If there's anything the forum lacks its tutorials on breeding feeders! I would love to see them.

On June 19th I received 250 silkworm eggs from CoastalSilkworm. The eggs were glued down to a covered petri dish. I put them in an incubator for 7 days at 82 degrees. They started hatching yesterday. They look like tiny black threads. Their first feeding was today: grated silkworm chow. They will stay in incubator for now. Wish me luck, since this is my first attempt.

How long before they get big enough to feed to beardie?
From what I have read: in 2 weeks they will be one inch, 2 inches in 3 weeks, and over 3 inches in 4 weeks. My Hugo LOVES the 3 inch silkworms. :p

How many do you expect to survive the three weeks?
The critical time is when newly hatched and the first week. After that, there will should be A 95% survival rate.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
