Shed is not coming off!

So my bearded dragon has a piece of shed in his ear hole. It has been there for a long time and still isn’t coming off. What should I do?

Have you been letting him soak at all? I always bathe my girl when she sheds, as it helps the shed soften and come off. She dunks her head under the water, so maybe he will, too.

During a soak, if it's not deep in his ear hole but more on the outside, try very gently scratching it with your fingernail to see if it's loose. If it seems stuck, then don't pick at it cause you'll hurt him, but sometimes it's just sitting there and is ready to come off. It all depends, I guess.

I just gave him a bath today and when he was in it I started moving it, it is loose but I think part of it isn’t. Thanks

Sounds like it's going good then! Maybe give him another bath tomorrow. Don't worry, it will loosen! : )
