Diane, Vicky is such a tiny little lady, is that part of what is giving extra problems? I do hope she'll be well enough to come home soon, I know Joe would love to dote on her, and she would be more comfy in her own environment.

Dawn, because she is so tiny may have a little to do with it. I think she had the slight tear in her aorta for quite a while before it was discovered. Then when it totally tore, it caused her to collapse. A fever isn't uncommon after surgery, I always got one after all of mine but she has a pleura effusion which is why they put the tube in, to drain the fluid from around the lungs. Since the tube (drain) is out now, she should be able to breathe better which will help her build her strength so that she doesn't tire so easily. Poor thing, she has been through SO much!

Diane, thanks for giving a better understanding of what Vicky has been going through. I'm just glad she's got a good surgeon and she's doing her best to get better but to not overdo. Hopefully, Vicky, you can get your strength back now that you can breathe, wishing you home soon

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
