Hooray for Vicky moving to her own room!!!!

Here's another update that Joe posted on FB.

Well Vicky is in her own room and able to have visitors. I was there for what we hope will be her last plasma treatment yesterday. Next step is she must get up and walk. If I know her she will be up and showing the nurses how to do things the Vicky way. Oh Im sorry I meant the proper way, by the time I get up there today.

I just got off the phone with Vicky, we only talked for a few minutes. She tires very easily which is certainly understandable. It's difficult for her to type any messages with her phone and even to hold a phone because of the swollen fingers so I don't think she'll be viewing the forum too soon. But, she is up and walking some, getting ready to start rehabilitation which is great. She sounds good and was joking around which was wonderful to hear.

Joe said he heard a knock at the door today and it was James high school teacher and personnel with a complete Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings including desert. I mentioned that it must have smelled so good and he then told me that it was all uncooked. :mrgreen: That way, he can cook all of it the day she comes home so they can have a Thanksgiving meal together, isn't that awesome?

We got the card mailed off -- it may not arrive until Saturday, between a handicapped dragon having issues & a sick child, and a disabled hubby have a few really bad days, life never stops here... I did take my UV-C lamp to it incase we had any airborne germs, but I have kept my son away from me and the card.

When it rains, it pours... Was in the middle of printing the final card, and my large-format printer decided to blow a print head... ok, that won't stop me! Plan B... smaller prints, scrapbook time... Grab the Cricut & ribbons & made hearts for the personal greetings -- I like the finished piece better this way, its more personal than just a large print :mrgreen: hubby realized I wasn't kidding when I took over the livingroom with my art table :mrgreen: I had to wear my favorite SNOOPY pants for the last picture, just for you Dawn 8)
